Nope. Just a guy trying to find time to get dirty which is impossible for probably another month. I really want to get out to ocotillo wells and go camping/wheeling for a weekend but between family stuff and home stuff that isn't going to happen for a bit. Life could be worse 😉
Here are some poor pics. I'll try to get some better ones. It's like taking a picture of the moon. It looks sweet in person but the camera never does it justice.
Garage door pics - headlights only, high beams only, high beams with grill and a pair of Squadron sports.
Field pics - headlights...
I was thinking about getting something like that as well. I just wanted the single button unit so I can blast the people easily when they drive towards me with their brights on..... I'm petty.
Looks great. I'm sure the wiring was fun ;)
Exactly. I don't want lights anywhere unless they actually serve a real purpose. Anything I install on this truck will need to have an actual added value. Some people want the grill lights with remote control/app capabilities, which is fine for them, but that's just not my style.
That being...
There is an example of the mounting bracket on the Bent Motorsports website but the bracket for the JT is different.
The breaker I used utilizes the stock gusset holes and the horns are relocated to holes on the new bracket. I should have taken a picture before putting the grill back on. It's...
I'm sure he could figure out how to deleted the center light and work around the camera. It would be great if they had that same size/type of camera with an IR capability. That could be fun with a Baja Design IR light!
The two gussets are removed, the bracket bolts to that, and the horns are moved and booked to the bottom of the bracket. They is a slight clearance issue with the grill and the horns. There is no visible issue but the horns do touch the back of the grill and reduces the volume of the horns...
DM me of you want to connect with him. He has no idea I'm posting this and I'm sure he would be stoked for customers.
The 5 lights are putting out over 11,000 lumens at 5000k. It's awesome.
I didn't take a picture of the bracket but this is the basic information:
The grill needs to be removed. Surprisingly easy without a wench in place. Wiring the lights to the bracket, installing the bracket, simple cutting of the grill, connecting the lights to the AUX switch.... Even I could...
I recently bought a 2020 Gladiator Rubicon. My buddy has a Jeep shop in San Marcos, and I have gone with the crew on a few crawling trips with them, and I finally pulled the trigger. This is my daily driver so I won't be crawling it like they do but I still plan on doing a few things to increase...
Thanks for all the help to both of you! My buddy's has a jeep shop but I haven't had the time to throw it on the lift and take a close look at everything. I have been adding some lights and simple stuff, the stock aux switches save so much time, but that's it so far.
Thanks again!
I realize the fenders are probably not level with each other but the front fender was 41.5" high and the rear was 41.25" high. I didn't verify the air pressure of the tires. Here is a couple of pictures.
