The batt would have been very nice for camping. The truck would have made good power and much less fuel then the v8. Oh well thank god I have my Eco Diesel which I would not change anyhow.
No this is made from a few different Refineries. Mostly sold in CA,OR,WA
Costco sells it in those states. I get mine from Philips 66 who has a refinery and its sold at all the stations in CA. It a huge difference in performance over fossil.
In regards to clogging. What do you think caused it? Did you have a good Cetane booster the whole time since new to have a more complete burn? Oil is the other enemy. In my case I use Renewable Diesel and it burns much better creating less soot.
Speaking with William, he said crank harmonics were the contributor having the crank flex more. Their no dampener and lugging makes that worse. The tune and design changes help what seems for now to have stopped that issue for the most part in Gen 3. The tune though weather its the tranny...
The failure causes the coolant to mix with oil? I was thinking it had to due with acidity opening up weak points in the construction.
Are you going to buy an OEM or BulletProof as a spare?
I'm using that one. At first I used Redline Water Wetter and it was not compatible with our coolant. Maybe that is why they make one that says Diesel? Anyhow i did 10 gallons flush with the Zerex so im good now and cleaned out all of it.
In regard to the EGR cooler. I remember some company was making an improved version? Maybe that was for the older ones? I think the coolent has a lot to do with it which Is why I went to the best Zerex HD ET Diesel. Did 10 Gallons of flushing.
In my case ill keep the original block nd rebuild that if it gets to that point in my lifetime. By then I would upgrade some parts. Maybe a OEM rebuilt kit would be good to keep if they sell them complete?
I guess then buying emission parts now would be good as well. I do use low saps and went...
Thanks they do look like something nice to get but mine is Garaged. I have a charge port for the battery under the hood and been using that but need to move it so I can do it without opening the hood. I like it charged so I use les Diesel to charge it.
Update: I did not drive for about 2 weeks and the battery went from 13.27v to 12.97v.
I confirmed that having the key sitting inside the car when parked will drain the battery quickly which was the cause of it draining on me.
The problem is some loss of efficiency and oil impurities that burn off more with the OEM temps.
Is the transoil every looping with the coolent at all for faster warmup?
Looks good. I would get one. Says 2 row and Mishimoto is a bigger 1 row. Mishimotor says life time warranty and made for chassis flex. Anyone here use that one for a few years yet?
CSF is a good company. Mishimoto does have a transcooler as well? Don't know if others make one?
