August of '21 i was quoted 4.5% for a 24k loan over 5 years. I paid off the loan in 2 months. I agree with all of the investment arguments but the trouble is there is both risk and tax to consider. If i average 7%, consider taxes, and include risk a 4.5% sure deal makes a lot of sense...
I used to dislike leather but have since changed. Cloth always seems to get dirty and can be difficult to clean. Heated seats help in the cold and the JT heated seats are the best I've experienced over quite a few vehicles.
Never knew about the 1941. I have pictures of all of the odometers of my new cars at 1337 miles though. I'm excited to see 80085 miles at some point too. Wish the font was closer to the old school calculator font though....
Is there a minimum temperature recommend to install the headlines? It's been getting down to 20 here not sure if I should wait till spring or if the install will go smoothly still with it being this cold.
OP i agree with you ESS is a nice feature I like it. I agree being able to delay the engine restarting is nice. I don't need it to turn back on to "heat or cool cabin" or becuse "Wheels are turned to sharp angle". I feel like there are a lot of these unnecessary start events programed because of...
I always wondered what would happen if I did this and tried it one day to realize exactly what you did. I don't see any issues with it. I have noticed that you need to depress the clutch further to get the engine to restart than if the gear selector is in neutral. Also the truck chimes and puts...
IIRC the payload does not include 150 lbs for the driver....
I've joked on this site before that my WRX has a higher payload capability than my gladiator. My door tag says 1021. The par that confuses me is the Gross axel weight rating add upo tpo far greater than the GVWR.
Is the jumper needed to charge the Aux battery? Alternativcly is the mian battery and AUX battery intended to be charged separately?
I feel like this is most cars. I have fixed tenders on my WRX as I park it for months at a time over winter. I also run tenders on my ATV as the battery is a PITA...
I really need to make something like this for my pickup. It's not fun having to climb in the box to chase gas cans or other items that always seem to slide to the front. I've also been thinking about a way to incorporate a rack to store the freedom tops into something like this. It'd be nice to...
Yikes, Screen protector ordered!
I don't suggest trying this but it makes me wonder if some polishing compound couldn't make that better? A new screen can't be cheap. If you do try polishing I suggest doing a trial in an unused corner or on something else before your trucks screen.
I'm not going to be any help. I've read quite a bit about the steering and it doesn't make sense to me. I've put 7k miles on my JT since I got it and while the steering is considerably different from my R & P sports car it by no means seems unsafe. I wish I could drive the vehicles that field...
I recently did a trip from MN to Maine and back. Return trip covered 1,600 miles in 2 days with 1,000 of the 1,600 taking place in the last day. The wole trip was 3,900 miles in 8 days.
The Overland suspension is awesome for long distance. My back was sore for the return trip but i blame that...
Interesting thanks for that study link. It correlates what I've kind of suspected. It's not as simple as calculating the energy content and claiming you'll see a decrease. My big gripe with this study is the limited number of miles traveled. Each test only covered around 300 miles. So with that...
I'd be more interested in someone doing a 10,000 mile average test of the E-10 vs E-0 3-4% worse mileage claim.
Comparing tanks in my car I've never noticed a 3-4% difference. Ethanol free premium is readily available in my area and I've done back to back tanks and changes in wind make it too...
Yeah the 362 is ok but for not much more the 661 (with a 48" bar not pictured) can probably handle more... ;):bandit:
for $180 the Stihl MS170 is a great saw. Electric is ok, but I've seen many reports of the tool less tensioning and bar mounting systems not being stout enough to handle more...
I run 89 with 10% ethanol and i feel that the engine runs smoother. I"m not sure if there is validity there or not. I could swear i heard a knock or 2 with 87 which disappears with 89. That said there was zero significant fuel mileage impact. Over 4,000 miles my average mileage was 21 mpg with a...
