This would be the first diesel platform we have owned that doesn’t break in…. ??‍♂️ We have had a few new tdi’s (1.9,2.0’s and one 3.0), 2.7 Jeep, 6.0 power stroke- all had consumption within the first 10k miles.
Like I said earlier on. It happened early and quick. Haven’t had any consumption...
What are the 4xe wranglers getting for economy?

I wanted to throw this out there for the folks under 5k miles. Seems consistent with our habits on two of these eco diesels… somewhere between 2k-3500 miles they consume about 2 quarts of oil.
I am pretty religious with a weekly check of our vehicles and the first eco diesel started...
Wow wow- I caught a bunch of crap for voicing my opinion about jeeps that get built but never go off road… a day later and we have an entire thread dedicated to roasting jeeps that clearly don’t off road ???
Currie ez deflator has been my tool of choice for ~10 years?
I’m pretty sure when we pick up new wheels and tires for the JT we are going to transition to monster valves. I have wheeled with a couple other guys that had these put in- I don’t think you can beat the air down or up speed. ??‍♂️...
We specifically ordered the brown seats. So, no regrets.
We do wish they were the darker brown leather seats, like most other manufacturers offer.
These look awesome!
Have you installed a compressor, inverter, plugs etc into the face of the decked system yet?
Looking for some creative ideas before I start drilling holes in mine.
So far I really like the ARB in the side storage- as soon as my dual compressor shows up, I’m going to pull everything back out...
So- is airflow the significant difference between the 1500 and the gladiator? I am seeing far less 1500 hot oil posts than I do gladiator. Is their radiator larger? Looks like they have the same trash (my opinion) oil cooler….. and the 1500 has shorter gear ratios (from what I can tell 3.55 vs...
Because torque….
If you plan to go up and play in Death Valley and Mojave- you are going to love the fuel economy/ range that you can get. Saline Valley- in a 3.6 you are going to have to carry extra gas just to get through. Diesel- you should still carry some extra fuel but you won’t need it...
The fox shocks in the Mojave are pretty incredible for a factory shock.
Can’t wait to swap our jtrd to 2.5 factory race fox shocks…. Closest thing we will have to the Mojave shocks.
Dawn should strip any wax etc. good call ??
When you call the dealer- maybe try and ask specifically what their detailer/car washer group has in an aerosol can…. Might help with what to use to remove it.
Just curious, what are you towing (box trailer, low profile trailer like a pop up etc.) weight, speed, grade and are you watching the oil temps.
I have seen at-least one other person install a bypass oil setup with a 900cfm cooling fan on an aftermarket oil cooler…. I get that it’s a new truck...

Someone beat me to it! This is an awesome awesome setup. I have a couple metal d rings- just because I have had them…. But everything aside from the snatch block I have...
Probably the biggest variables here is “where are you over landing”?
Could a stock variation make it through a lot? Sure… but extra protection and a few tweaks might make life a lot easier and better.
Death Valley? This was my back yard on our last Jeep. Lift required?- it was a JK so yes 2.5”...
