You lost me at “2000 miles in, and when I brought it in 5000 miles for the first oil change I told the service manager”
I am sorry for your issues and the inconvenience it has caused. Maybe not wait 3k miles after the start of a noise?
For any future new vehicles- the first 10k miles any...
Thanks- my response was coming from knowledge of the previous gen 3.6.
I appreciate your informed response.
Kind of a shame that the manufacturer jumped through the hoops to revise previous issues, only to make more/worse issues.
really happy with our 3.0.
Rocker bearing failed. Better to have it replaced sooner than later, sometimes you can get lucky and it wont damage the cam or other components.
The last generation of 3.6l’s had this issue as well.
if you live in a warm climate I had better luck running 0w40 oil…. 0w20 ate two within the...

psc big bore if it’s out for the gladiator/3.6.
Just curious…. And this is against your post. Have you considered the diesels? I understand the projected price of fuel is “unknown” right now. Their fuel economy is consistent and better than gas.
I haven’t ran the ROI numbers since we were at $5.70 a gallon (currently at $6.80)- but when...

Nitto’s are made in America. ??
Methods are light weight, aluminum but made in China :( - great customer service (race support)
Someone else chime in with a made in America wheel (for street/all terrain use)
This pretty well sums it up. Tire cost adds up, and they wear out fast enough when everything is correctly aligned. Buy a quality
I seea reference or two about an alignment done at a shop. If you wheel your Jeep at all… you should watch a couple YouTube videos -dirt lifestyle has a great one...
If the backlash is off enough to make a clunk noise, it’s off too much.
Order a Dial indicator with a magnetic mount and measure the slop. Should fall between 7-9 thousandths.
Too much slop and you are prematurely wearing the gears, and will shorten the life.
honestly- this is a two for one...
When we say the oil looked clean…??
every diesel I have ever owned even with bypass filter setups still look black…. Unless the egr is deleted and then things clear up after awhile.
what does looks clean diesel oil look like if not black? ? (serious question)
Also, what filter are you using...
When did rotella t6 drop its ash and stop creating dpf issues? (Earlier post sounded excited to use it…)
I would stick with an low ash/MS-12991 oil rather than trying to save a few bucks.
Usually dpf issues don’t start showing their face until 80-100k miles…. And the warranty is up at the 100k...
