Got my Centerforce hydraulics installed. Only drive 5 miles or so. Feels slightly springier and a little more positive engagement/disengagement (the clutch and flywheel took away most of the stock clutch vagueness - this took away the rest). Can really tell in reverse and at the release point in...

The stock clutch slips and burns /smells -especially when backing a trailer and sometimes when crawling off road. The Centerforce clutch is not any faster or smoother - it’s just a lot beefier. It holds and goes, where the stock clutch and light flywheel sputter.
Not sure on mpgs Blake is getting. I just got back from a 5,600 mile trip from PA to Yellowstone and back. I’m really glad I had 5.13 gears and there were places where I wished I had 5.38 gears in the mountains when I was struggling in 3rd to maintain speed. I averaged about 15.8mpg on the...
got Centerforce upgraded hydraulics delivered. Going to get an installer to put them in (no time and its a PIA to bleed a clutch). I'll report back after install
Nice! You are gonna love it! I just got the upgraded hydraulics last month. Haven’t had any time to install. Are the hydraulics coming with your kit? My gut tells me factory Hydraulics are part of the issue that caused a complete redesign.
Got one in my garage. Wife doesn’t wanna take the doors off. Seems like a meme making fun of Bronco owners to me. Maybe after some of the newness wears off. My Gladiator was offroad on the way home from the dealer and the doors were off within minutes after I first got home. I guess it’s a Jeep...
I hear ya. I stalled my JT when I test drive it and often when moving a trailer/backing a trailer when it was stock. I don’t think I’ve stalled it ever with the Centerforce clutch. The heavier flywheel and grippier surface make it do I can take off on flat surfaces with little to no throttle.
Better, more positive engagement, no burning clutch smell on hills or moving a trailer. Better take off. Engages lower in the pedal travel. Climbs a hill now with no throttle. Only minor con is increased pedal effort.
Centerforce didn’t mention specifics - just that it’s improved and while they didn’t say it, it seems like the hydraulics might be the culprit with the issues these Jeeps have seen. The clutch kit cost $1335 and the labor from Keystone 4x4 in Hamburg, PA was $600. The installer split it up over...
