Is this steel plate needed, necessary, helpful, whatever?
I have the Bulldog winch mount/plate and it comes with this thick, heavy steel plate that bolts to the front of the steel bumper.
I assume - between the bumper and the fairlead.
Do other winch mounting plates come with this?
Is it...
Last time around, I fed my snow plow control by connecting it to the 12v outlet harness extension I had. Worked perfect, and was a screw-type connection. Insert wire, tighten screw, hidden behind center cluster.
The 25 center cluster - don't even want to think about taking that apart!
I found...
My Overland JTs had the cold air from the grill go right into the bottom of the air box itself - the tube from the grill lined up with a passage in the bottom of the air box. Looking inside the box with the filter out you could see the passage. It dumped the air right into the air box itself.
My...
We were sitting at a stop light waiting to make a left today and another JT pulled up along our right side and motioned to us through his window. Wife rolled the window down and he handed us a small flier and suggested I might be interested.
my wife said "I'm sure he will be" and the other guy...
It's frustrating as heck when you can't get reliable, solid, factual, information from people who sell things.
Backstory -
I've lived multiple places with wells. I know how they work, what to expect, and have had water softeners, iron filters, good wells and bad wells and more.
We moved here...
to this point, my electronics have been perfect (at least I recall no issues in the first two)
Will ride this out and see if it self-corrects. It has been this way all day, each trip.
Ironically, when I put it on full-NAV, that works. It's only this screen that's frozen in time.
I've seen it mentioned here and in other forums as well about an extra bit of oil (limit this to 1 quart over, and not more) and how it increases pressure on the seals, thus causing a leak.
Here are some facts ->
First:
The crankcase operates (normally) under a vacuum. The PCV is "Positive...
Not mine, of course, but there are some old-time Jeep people here, besides the JT thing.

If not allowed, Jay can kill this post and warn me "hey, dummy, that's not allowed".
It's almost all hand-made (save for some fittings, etc.)
Don was at Coolsprings for their big antique engine deal and ran across this little gem. It's a model of a larger engine. The maker is unknown. The guy selling it trashed a lot of other stuff - he was asked to clean up, Don saw this and...
No fair cheating - don't use Google. Use your middle school or high school science class knowledge and explain what you see here (I already know what it is)
This pretty much only happens with water that is pretty clean, not often with tap water.
I like dash mounts - they fit my needs perfectly - and when MOPAR came out with the 82219127AB accessory rail for the 2024/2025 dash, PERFECT - can take multiple accessories, runs over the top of their faux cooling for the head unit.
However, it fits no existing standard I can find...
I have to relocate the shock reservoirs on my JT to accommodate the snow plow mounting brackets.
The skid plate has to be removed when the frame brackets are in place (I typically only leave them on through the winter although Western says those stay on all the time - sorry, I remove them)
I'm...
Be honest, blunt if necessary. It was a heck of a struggle and my back is killing me, and holding bolts to get them started - NOT fun, took longer than it should have (unboxing to full install, 1 hour, should have been half of that)
I have been all over my "processes", the "instructions" and...
I see a picture of green but can't find anything other than red or black or whatever for the JT
I have a Bestop sunrider and need a screen for when it's open.
In another thread, I am told the alien shade works with the sunrider on the JT (how it attaches up front I'm unclear on - the Spiderweb...
......... with my neurologist today.
Normally doctors see you for 5, maybe 10 minutes, then are gone. He stuck with me for 30 minutes while I asked all sorts of questions about DBS for ET (essential tremor)
It's not quite as involved or complicated for ET as for Parkinson's - but pretty much the...
Getting tired of messing with gas/oil mix and the heavy gas powered trimmers.
I already have a Milwaukee impact and power grease gun. (and 14.4v DeWalt drills from 25 years ago!)
I'd rather not start yet another battery collection since I'm dealing with DeWalt 14.4v drill batteries and...
