You need to keep access to that hole, the spare tire winch handle goes in there
(did the tailgate harness go through there before the ACCC? I never thought to check)
I've got the Sidekick in my Alu-Cab, can answer questions about that if desired. Can't answer much of the rest.
Weight adds up... I saw "roof solar" and house battery in there - is there a camper or RTT and rack as well? One can make a case that loadout can have a snowball effect, as it...
Is Stellantis sending over-the-air updates to the Jeep that messes with the Tazer? Some mfgs are real aggro about this, others practically encourage it
Same here. I have one of these - the remote worked when brand new. A couple weeks later it was dead (unless plugged in). I've found many other similar reports when searching on it. Seems like there really is a problem in there
Man, I miss my E36M3…
Question about load-out priorities. I see two spares in those garage shots… On my previous truck (Tacoma) I often carried two spares into the kind of deep backcountry that can kill you (Death Valley, Parashant etc). But that was on smaller 32s, and with older tires that...
How many of you 3.6L owners noticed that this post is in the turbo diesel section? Zero?
OP you’ll have to do some work to figure out which posts to ignore
22 JTRD here. Regretfully I did not weigh it bone stock - only after adding a winch and aluminum bumper. I did carefully weigh all those components going on and coming off: total +82 lbs.
Full tank, completely empty otherwise: 5561 lbs. Second check later, same scale, fuel full but somewhat...
How did I ramble on for 10 minutes, lol. But this covers the aux fuel tank, platform build, cook table, and a few other things
Installed a 52" light bar on the front edge of the Alu-Cab:
It's from Harbor Freight of all places. But the build quality looks good to me, waterproof, dust sealed...
I do this often enough that I've been thinking about sticking something over the paint up there, so I dan't have to dig around for a shop rag. Electrical work around the diesel battery and fuse box is definitely easier with a little more headroom there. I'm pretty sure there's some stick-on...

Apple's own...
Not quite - looks like it only relocates the strap to a separate bracket. The gas strut still would anchor to the stock bracket. If I'd installed 813's bracket on day 1, maybe the rivets would never have fatigued out - but as it is, I need to repair or redesign the gas strut mount no matter...
Got around to trying this out. 52” light bar. Securing the brackets is a two person job, one on the outside with a wrench holding the bolt head, one on the inside with a couple long wobble extensions. Not too hard to reach though. Bright AF, and the location is actually perfect for a high light...
Memory foam is nasty in a truck... in cold temperatures it turns to concrete, takes forever for body heat to melt down into it, then you're stuck in an uncomfortable lumpy hole all night and if you roll over and touch the frozen foam, it sucks the life force out of you
Stick to plain old...
Rear discs are plain as day in those spy shots, so there's that
The drums on my 2005 Taco were hands-down the worst feature of it. They're supposed to "self adjust" which is complete horseshit. I was constantly tinkering with the adjuster star ratchets, and the shoes would clearance...
Did you get yours used from an ebay seller? They must have bought it separate and just included it for funsies. My brand new bumper didn't come with that (in fact I had to buy something similar b/c state law)
