I can't verify that the space is larger than the JL, The fold-up seat bottom doesn't make for a huge space for big dogs. The backrest folded down is high and small- different from the JL.
The one cranked up at the show was in a Rubicon JT, no roof. The Sub takes up most of the room behind the seat, but it hits WAY harder than the one in our JKUR.
Disclaimer- actual, largely straight J-Truck was harmed during the production of this commercial.
We can only hope that it was already destroyed by cancer underneath and on the other side.
I get that the WB is closer to the competition's LONG bed crew than the short, but the leg room is precisely what has me sold.
I went to the Auto show on Sunday to pretty much talk myself out of the Gladiator, and into a much more sensible Tacoma. I get Toyota family pricing and the truck I'd...
I hadn’t heard about that one. Everyone else is doing it though- modular engines based on 0.5l per cylinder, with or without turbos, as needed to suit the application.
I'll respectfully disagree- MTs might be fine down south, but up here an AT option is much better for dealing with wet and snowy roads. We put the same Wildpeak AT's on our JKU-R (replacing some Duratracs) and I have no complaints. In anything but clay, they'll work totally fine.
the Pentastar in the old Ram was rated at 305hp (20 more than JL) and 269lb-ft (9 more) at 4175rpm (625rpm lower). I doubt there's much different internally. The Ram probably has a bigger exhaust and different mapping.
That sounds like they’ll have pricing for NAIAS. Last year they had a handful of JLs on the floor for people to crawl in and out of, so I expect the same with the JT.
It would be a reasonable option to pursue. Use A frame consisting of a front hoop, side bars and a removable rear bar. Use the same front and side rails to seal it. It could use the same rear window.
Getting off the trail is fine- you need to run 2wd, unlocked, until traction needs force you to use 4wd. BUT- if your wheeling requires 40s, that's gonna suck. On the road, how far do you want to drive a jeep on 40's?
All the reports say 35's fit w/o mods. Haven't seen a picture of what it looks like down there. There's a muffler adjacent to the tire. That's easy to straight pipe. Limit is the distance between the track bar and the hitch/crossmember.
The Max-tow group will definitely be the ticket for those who want the cheaper path to big tires. I can't believe they fit 37's with only 2" and the non-highline flares.
Tossing appearance items into the option mix that don't require any real integration or validation won't hurt a thing- there's about 3 grand between the Sport S and Sahara. They could force you to buy the tech group and nicer wheels for 2 grand.
I think the cases that were in the H3 with the off road/adventure group were that way. Found a post where a guy ordered a new one straight from the dealer for $1300.
