I guess I'm not following your logic here. You put on some heavy ass 37s, didn't regear to compensate for the taller final drive w/ the significant additional rolling mass, and think an auto will fix this? I'm not trying to be a dick, but I'm also not sure what you think an auto is going to...
Trying to pick out some tires for the future JTR and have narrowed it down to these two. Wheels will be Black Rhino Armory in 9.5" width. I don't intend to do a ton of offroading, but would like some capability when I do. The truck will mostly be a daily driver in Central Ohio (50/50 country...
Personally, in that situation, I would back in, close the garage door, and install a pulley/hoist system that rode on a trolley/track that slid forwards and backwards.
1. back in
2. close door
3. lift top
4. roll top toward back of garage, out of the way of the door.
5. open door
I watched a YT video back in the spring that made a whole lot of sense once I really thought about it.
The video was something to the effect of, "why are so many corporations making such a stink (virtue signaling) about supporting BLM and declaring that we have such an issue with...
If your transfer case lever has a '4A(Auto)' position, then you have selc-trac. Personally, I would put it in this mode in the winter and leave it. The truck will engage/disengage 4wd as it sees fit.
Could you do me a favor and get a measurement on the inside of your ARE topper? Ive been trying to find one forever to measure and haven't been able to.
Im looking for the inside length of the topper at the top part of it, from the front edge (above the slider) to the back edge (by the 3rd...
I've never personally ran into this as I dont have a Gladiator yet (c'mon Sarge green...), but is it really that big of a deal to run your auxiliaries into, say, your high beams and just flip them off as you Normally would for oncoming traffic?
My personal plan of action will be to wire them up...
I've thought about it. I tried doing some research on the Aisin, but came up wanting. There's nothing out there that I could find. My dream scenario is 35" tires, 5.13 gears, and a more over-driven 6th gear set.
This combo is what I will probably run. The 5.13 gears would be fantastic for...
