For those wondering, modern drive-by-wire manuals have rev hang programmed into them for emission reasons. The catalytic converter is only able to effectively do its job in a tight A/F range. Too lean = more CO2. Too rich = more NO2. The rev hang is programmed in so the engine doesn't...
LTravis@criswellauto is who I've been talking to.
Haven't bought or got any solid numbers yet but I've heard you can get 8% below invoice with Tread Lightly.
When I get a JT, I'll probably do as I did for my fishing kayak (used to hold pliers, hooks, steel weights, etc) and epoxy a strong ~2" neodymium magnet to the back of the plastic panel right next to my right leg. You can't see it, and its strong as hell. I think I used a 75lb magnet to make...
My only other thought on the subject is that perhaps seeing it on a JT specific forum may not be a direct correlation with the rest of the world. By that, I mean, JT enthusiasts are probably more likely to spend time on forums and like the weird colors, such a gator. Conversely, the average...
Anyone noticed that there are more posts under the Gator specific picture thread than any other color? Sure does seem popular.
I'd be curious to know the stats on how many of each color have sold because I don't think it's been canceled due to low sales numbers. At least, it doesn't seem...
FCA kinda pisses me off with this kind of crap (if the rumor is true that its discontinued). I don't understand why they can't give their paying consumers some warning that a particular option is going away. I imagine it would actually boost sales slightly if they made this announcement as...
Upon running the numbers, I'll probably go with 5.13 when I do it. I have a sneaky suspicion that running the 3.6 at a bit higher RPM won't absolutely kill the fuel economy and may in fact help it due to being more efficient. We shall see.
Anyone done it?
I'm considering doing it when I get a JTR but wanted to see if anyone had any experience with it.
I realize it's a little shorter than usual for 35s, but, I have several random thoughts in regards to this:
1. ~4.33 would be about the correct ratio to bring it back to 'stock'...
