That "skid plate" is made of plastic and only supported at the top/leading edge. It isn't going to skid very much ;)
The fender fillers keep the air from hitting the front of the tire and getting caught inside the fender, causing a lot of drag. Probably good for a bit of MPG improvements for...
Typically, yes thats what Id call an air dam. Reading about what people have removed from their trucks- Id guess the OP is referring to the filler piece between the fender and bumper. Visible in your picture as missing on the blue Jeep but there on the Red one. It’s midnight and Im a few Vodka...
My ‘21 Max Tow Sport S came with painted fenders and no filler/air dams and black hardtop. I believe the bumper/fender upgrade is a package change over the ‘20. Did so many builds on the website, I dont recall if its part of the Sport S or the Max Tow :)
I was thinking the same thing. When I picked my truck up, I looked down and saw the ground, didn't seem right. Found the pugs and covered the holes, but thought- what keeps the water from splashing up through the hole and getting trapped between the mat and the floorboard?
If you look closely...
I believe all Sport S now come with body color fenders. My '21 Max Tow has body color fenders, black HT. I found the Jeep build page to be a PITA, it's not even showing Sarge Green for me.
My first two mods ?
BAK Revolver X4 tonneau cover and an Undercover Swingcase toolbox

Installed them over the weekend. Both pretty easy to install, tonneau needed no drilling, toolbox...
I came home from signing the papers on my Jeep, first thing I see signing onto this forum is that Employee Pricing would be applied to '21s. Dealer, of course had made no mention of that. My truck was still on their website, new price was still more than I paid :sun:
It's a sales gimmick...
I think the biggest problem with putting it on the Gladiator is how far it opens. On the Wrangler, when open it stacks up over the rear cargo area, which the Gladiator doesn't have. The rear window is fixed and the JT doesn't have the rear side windows to pop out either. It wouldn't expose much...
I had a similar cover from Rollnlock on my last truck. I liked it a lot, felt much more secure than a fabric cover, cleaner look too. You do lose a bit of bed at the front, where it rolls up in a box, probably 6 or 8". My truck had a drop in bedliner which had to be cut around it. It was pretty...
As has been said, there's quite a lot to a Max Tow that you'd need to change, axles and springs to start. This far into the new model year, leftovers are going to get scarce and you'll need to cast a wide net. Start by searching distant zip codes. The Jeep website shows about 10 available within...
Just signed the deal a few hours ago, Sport S Max Tow with Hard Top/PEP, Cold Weather Pkg and bedliner. Just waiting for the paperwork to run through
Got my first "Jeep wave" on the test drive too :D
The Jeep website describes the Willys shocks only as "Red Heavy Duty." Only the Rubicon and Mojave mention Fox shocks. I'd think if the Willys had them, it would be called out. It would seem odd to me for Jeep to make the same shock in two different colors, so I'd suspect the Willys at least has...
I spotted this package on the Jeep website a little while ago. I find this one quite appealing- HT and AT standard (extra cost on the Overland) comes with the larger wheels and AT tires, it alos appears to lack the little fender/bumper aero-bits on the Sport. I never liked the Overland running...
