Here's the door harness that I took out of my wife's jl last weekend. The wires would go in the gap I circled, as you can see, hers were not there, but thankfully the pins were present on the dash/body side.
Actually easier then pulling the door card come to think of it. Just look at the door side of the body harness, do you have the wires coming out of it that correspond with pins 15\16 on the body side? If they're in the door, that's where they'd start.

This actually worked...
There's also a bad run of caps going around. I installed the kit on the wife's JT this weekend. The swing gate worked fine, but neither door worked. I swiped the passenger side cap (prox came factory) from my JT to test it, soon as I installed that cap in either handle, that handle worked...
Yep, that's it right there. Casey Currie starts all his JTs as Overlands, gets the niceties he wants, and knows all the Rubi stuff is coming off, so why buy it. Not knocking Rubis, they are extremely capable, just have to keep in mind your end goals and what you plan to upgrade vs. keep on the...
They have confirmed on the JL thread you can install just one. In the radio settings you'd have to be set to "unlock all doors" on 1st press of the key fob.
I use the Harley Sportster mirrors as well. Yes they're a little low, but they are ever so slightly convex and work great. I just need them to check beside the truck for lane changes, which they do perfectly. They're really inexpensive on Amazon.
Probably helps that I ride a "crotch rocket" I'm...
Installed a Weathertech tailgate liner/protector. I've seen reviews that the holes don't line up etc... They must have revised it, everything lined up perfect.
That's a terrible lease quote. Ugh. 27,500+36,500 is 64k for a 50k msrp. The lease number must be astronomical on that. I realize there is interest, tax, dealer fees etc, but 14k worth is way too much.
Ordered a set for the Wife's JL on May 19th, just got the email with shipping notification, yay!
I'm guessing they order them in cycles. I just happened to be mid to late in the cycle.
Yes, this is EXACTLY what I want. As someone said, the rear doors become an issue, but I think moving the pivot back a little further is doable.
People keep saying have the top drop into the bed. No, just have it flop on the bed rails like it does on wranglers. It wouldn't compromise the bed...
It was still 4 in 2 years when I bought mine. With Covid I only put on 3500 miles in the first year, so at 12 months I finally used my first one. I'll be lucky to use 3 of the 4, and that third one might even be tight. Wish I could trade number 4 for the paint.
My local dealer has two wranglers and a gladiator on their website right now, and they're starting to list them OVER MSRP. Crazy. And this is usually a high volume dealer.
My poor 10 year old. He's been saying for a year now he wants the JT when the time comes. Fast forward to last week, wife brought home a Hydro Blue JLU. Now he's conflicted on which he intends to commandeer.
