It is the windshield. The four bolts that are in the box are the four T40 bolts that hold the metal door stop. The four windshield bolts are T50.

It seems to me that the front mount would be located on the freedom panel of the Gladiator. In your picture the mounts are near the rear and front of the rack but if the roof space stops behind the back seats then it will not fit as pictured.
