It is good advice to keep receipts during the warranty period. Is it absolutely necessary, depends, but probably not. Better safe than sorry. Keeping receipts is good evidence.
Interesting, since your last statement doesn’t quite jive with your angry and condescending statements above.
I think my engineering background allows me to make reasonably informed decisions.
BITOG is an open forum and therefore has some crackpots on it. But, if you know science and...
Great forum. Lots of good information. I am new to Jeep’s and bought my Gladiator for the convertible top.
Am learning a lot and folks in general seem very knowledgeable and friendly.
I have heard that the RTG may be discontinued also. If it is, I will probably use PUP 30w. PUP is on the thin side of the 30w’s. Would have no problem using Mobil as an alternative also. Actually Wally’s supertech blended by warren is fine as are many others.
I have always liked Shell’s Rotella oils. Very robust add pack and seem to hold up well from past UOAs. Also used Rotella diesel oils in many motorcycles. I have a test kit and may send this run to blackstone for analysis.
Mobil products are also top notch. Have used Mobil one many times in the...
looks good. I might have looked up the wrong sheet or a different viscosity.
I have this in the engine presently, so 20w is not of that much interest to me.

Pennzoil has a flash point of 207C and Mobil is 220C. Not really much difference.
Pennzoil has always been on the thinner side. I run 5w-30. Still not a fan of the 20w oils.
Things are continuously changing. GTL is changing the oil world and Shell is continuing to produce more and more.
Certainly Mobil makes a good product, but the differences are becoming less and less. Making a profit will always be the driving force.
I believe gtl is a very good product and...
Not much difference between Shell products and Mobil. Mobil 1 is now a mixture of GTL and PAO as is Shell. Mobil is buying and using a lot of GTL in their products. GTL is a great base oil to start with.
There are 4 choices for oil drain valves.
Fumoto
Stahlbus
Femco
Valvomax
of the three, I use the femco low profile.

There is also a group 3+ that is as good as the group 4. Shell/Penzoil’s GTL oils(Gas to Liquid) are in this category. It is a very good oil and really provides all the benefits of a Group 4/5.

Oil groups have nothing to do with “filtering.” These groups are described above.
Any major brand that meets the spec for the 3.6 will be just fine. All the major brands are very good and will be fine.
Things are changing around the world. That is true. 20 weight is being recommended by some countries and not by others.
I am very comfortable using 5 or 10w-30 in my vehicle. I actually prefer 10w-30, but it is getting harder to find. 10w is good down to about -32 degrees F, if I remember...
I do but,not enough to matter to the average person who keeps a vehicle for less than 150 - 200, 000 miles.
Interesting if you look at the owners manual for most vehicles outside the US, owners manuals recommend oils thicker than 0w-20 for the same vehicle that has a 0w-20 recommendation in the US.
