I'm curious how many of us has been past 4000 rpm? For myself, 4000 rpm sounds like a cat with his tail on fire, not sure I want to hear it scream any louder.
Wait till he thinks he can reach the pedals.
I used to live in Charlotte for a few years. Your neighborhood looks like something off of Woodlawn back in the day. Enjoy your new Gladiator!!!
I've driven on the beaches of the world for "long time". This is the only tire I will use. Great street manners too for your trip back home.
Relax, I'm just kidding. Tire type is not as important as tire pressure. A larger footprint doesn't dig. Simple.
That question has been asked many times directly to AEV. They have answered it with saying they have conducted extensive research for many miles in the desert heat, ect, ect, ect. No issues. No reported issues I've read about. I guess he is good.
Looks like South Daytona or NSB. Welcome to the club. Maybe all of us Florida Mojave dudes can link up one day at the beach. We can hang out and tell lies. I mean stories
I remember when Tom Woods didn't have a website. You had to call him on the phone, most often Tom picked up. He would tell you to crawl under your Jeep and take measurements while you were on the line. One time I told him I didn't have a cordless phone and he told me to drive my Jeep inside to...
The transfer case is chain driven, so there isn't any gear or pinion that is loose and can spin freely. Makes me wonder if it may be the front driveshaft. With a FAD, would the front driveshaft be able to spin freely when in 2H?
The forum had this debate a few years ago. The premium sound package does actually have different speakers. Comparing them side by side the Alpine speakers are better quality and heavier magnets. I still don't believe they sound any better than the regular ones. The 8.4 unit pushes more sound...
Sounds like you have a good plan for the future and bought the right size camper to accomplish it.
Curious if you sold the Aliner?
I have a Aliner Scout. I had a Winnebago Micro Mini and pulled it to Georgia once. I got about 8-10mpg and any wind at all and it dropped to 6-7mpg. Found out my...
Gobi and Gator had a short run on both the JL and JT side. I was looking for a Gator and read somewhere (JL Forum maybe) that both of those colors had a tendency to fade in a short period. I don't know if that is true..but...
Based on what you have experienced it may be due to the fact the rest...
You confused me, which isn't hard to do. You said basically free ($500 vs. $1200)
So did you pay $500 for it? That isn't basically free. That is a lot of Rust Oleum Flat Black spray paint though.
The 2024 Build and Price is now online. Playing around I seen you can order a standard Mojave and option the Front/Rear Steel Bumper Group to it. As this comes standard on the X models, the consensus so far was it has a different spring to accommodate the additional weight of the bumpers. True...
That's where the disconnect is. If indeed the 2023 Rubicon, Mojave and High Altitude come with Alpine Premium Audio, why does my Monroney state it under standard equipment and Mr. Bill's possible buy Monroney doesn't? I think it is going to be hard to tell until a build sheet comes out or...
I like the idea of these little portable battery operated compressors. I haven't been pushed for a need yet.
I run a Power Tank 10lb CO2 tank. Their regulators are hands down pretty nice. I think that is what you are paying for. A nice painted tank I know I paid for also so I make sure the gas...
Not so fast.
Where on his Monroney sticker does it say 9 speaker? It doesn't. So lets compare my Monroney and what it says.
Clearly states Alpine Premium Audio.
This forum had a debate back in 2020 about the same thing. My brother in law bought a Rubicon with the 7" screen and it had the...
