My guess is the move to being more carlike in late YJ and TJ and the more recent (JK ) move to power /heated mirrors. Used to drive a 1989 YJ with the mirrors attached to the windshield so never worried about getting mirrors when the doors came off.

Luckily my wallet is basically empty because if my Gladiator so I usually keep u. My pocket. I occasionally set it next to the ebrake That’s seems ok.

My manual JTR featured in Truck Central in case anyone is interested. On 37s, stock wheels with a 1.5” Teraflex Leveling kit. Stock gears but planning to re gear to 4.88 or 5.13 #JTRSPARTACUS

@ACE Engineering JT Expedition. Pros - made in USA, reasonable price, good quality, integrated winch mount sits low, can (barely) reuse LEDs. Cons - involved install —requires drilling and cutting on your JT.
