Yeah, Mopar knows who bought an extended warranty with the truck and who did not. Along with all the third-party sellers, they are going to try and sell you one. They send letters and contract it out to a call center. Every direct sale will make money for the agent and the call center, but...
I put on sill guards and have no issues with them. The first truck, in 2019, I installed the Mopar guards on. The second truck, I recently purchased, has the Rugged Ridge guards on. I like them better, and they cover more area (for less money). I have a good seal and get no water intrusion...
Mopar sells extended warranties through the dealer network. These are listed with the vehicle in the Jeep system. They are honored at any dealer nationwide. The start date for the extended warranty is the purchase date of the vehicle. The coverage kicks in when the factory warranty no longer...
Check with Redarc and see if it will actually try to charge in that situation. I'm not aware of any fused circuits that are live only when the engine is running.
It's been long enough, I'm hoping the ability is there to turn it off. If not, my backup plan is a relay on the horn feed wire controlled by a Aux switch.
The existing V6 works for what I need. A diesel, without all the emissions crap, would be good. I would like to see just a plain, simple, small V8 with a eight or ten speed automatic transmission.
That's a big part of the problem. I may just run them with no TPMS readings. Sam's Club said it would be about $40 per wheel for a new sensor and installation. Discount Tire quoted me about $65 per wheel for the same (and I bought the tires from them).
I'll trade you. I have four of the older sensors that worked with my 2020 Overland. I need to pull them out of my wheels and swap them for some that will work with my 2023 High Altitude.
That means it is trying to charge the batteries. Once they are fully charged, output from the alternator will drop to around 13 volts.
Separate the negative cables and separately charge each battery. Take a voltage reading when charging is finished. Let them sit overnight with no load...
Well, at least there is an option. I'm not willing to buy a Tazer just for that. Guess I'll pull out the leftover light harness and see if I can use a relay on the feed to the horns.
The engines on my Overland and my High Altitude are very quiet.
I understand why it is there, like the Auto Park feature, people have to be protected from themselves now.
Not everyone parks in an enclosed space. It would be nice to have the option to be able to turn it off, even if it was...
That's the honk when locking the doors.
Starting with, I believe MY '22, it honks three times if you get out and close the door with the engine running. I went through all the settings in the head unit and couldn't find anything.
Did anyone ever find a way to turn off the horn honking when closing the door while leaving it running?
There have been some threads on this, but I can't find any of them. I remember scanning through them, but didn't really pay attention since it wasn't an issue with my Overland. Now that I...
The cold weather will make it drop faster, and take longer to charge. 12.6v is marginal, fully charged is 12.8v or higher. I would suggest a battery maintainer if you are not driving it every day.
They ask for the VIN number to program it into the head unit so the computers in the truck will accept and talk to it. I don't know if they do any verification or checking to make sure it is the correct software for the VIN. You could try contacting the Map Update people and see if they can...
