I know it’s not the route you’re taking but Big South Fork is more remote than LBL and there are plenty of back country campsites accessible although 4wd not needed. There are some amazing sights to see there too as well as it is an international dark sky park. Likely you will not see another...
I put the TF full 1.5 on my Overland, looked much better in my opinion and since I didn’t haul/tow anything at night, adjusting the headlights was straight forward. Put rubicon wheels and 33’s on it and probably do the same with my rubicon now and 35’s
Honestly, if I had deep pockets, would ditch the minivan motor and go with an L86 instead of a semi-Hemi, the JT needs a V8 even without having to tow all the time.
My JT is in the shop with a rear main seal leak at 5900 miles. My loaner while in there is 2023 JL with a 392. In the week I've had it, I've been pulling a trailer with a zero turn and my first impression was the JT needs a V8, can't pull a trailer with a Mustang.
I've had both a tonneau cover and a soft topper on 2 different models, cover on Overland, soft topper on Rubicon. I can feel the drag much more on the Rubicon, but, mpg has been negligible as the Rubicon is heavier than the the Overland. Averaged 20 in the Overland, and currently getting 19 in...
This is probably my next upgrade. After bouncing around on Forest Service Roads this weekend in North Alabama, my fender flares have been dinged up by flying rocks at 35mph...
When I got my Overland, I put a TeraFlex 1.5 leveling kit and Rubicon take off's. You can find those cheap on here or on FB marketplace. Still got 20mpg highway driving 80 miles a day and still had 8th gear, just downshifted every time it went up an incline. Put 36,000 miles on it in a year...
I just went from an Overland with a 1 1/2” Teraflex level kit on the front and 33’s to a stock Rubicon. The Overland averaged around 20 mpg and on the Rubicon, I’m getting no more than 18.4 in the first 1800 miles. The 4.10s in the Rubicon don’t seem to search for gears on the highway like the...
Agri-cover soft-topper on, and thoroughly impressed with the functionality and the extra space I now have. We’ll see how it holds up. So far, water tight and was easy to put together.
So, after 1 year and 36,000 miles on the Overland, it was time to trade up to a Rubicon, which, surprisingly, in today’s market, was almost and even trade. The Overland was mostly stock with a TF level on the front and 33’s on JL Rubicon take offs. Here she is the last day
And now the...

I had a mirror that was on backorder for months, called the parts guys at Chapman CDRJ and they looked it up, said, oh, that part number changed. They had one on hand and they shipped it same day across the country, had it on in 5 days. Super helpful and checked them out due to the many...
Can you expand on this? I’m curious what all you cut out and if you just leave the 3M tape on the intake tube. Does it just give a better sound like a CAI would? Or different?
