I don't have a Mojave, so someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the Mojave hood is a direct swap with anything else. You need to swap the cowl too.
No biggie, but I think 11.2.7 is the version that introduced the traffic light brake hold, and turned it on by default. Messed with a lot of folks who didn't realize they were activating it. Last 2-3 newest versions turn off new features by default now.
Don had mentioned removing the bumper for a cleaner, more factory looking install. What I meant in my reply was that if I was going to go through that much effort to make it look more like OEM, I would just spend the $175 more and buy the OEM hitch (which requires the bumper removal), and have a...
That's been there for awhile. Not 100% sure, but I think that might only really apply to the JL Wrangler. All the Gladiators come with the wiring installed.
Though if you have to remove the bumper, it's almost as much work, and nowhere near as strong as the OEM one. Not even safe up to the safe capacity of the truck.
That changes things slightly. Technically, you should be able to tow that weight with just a ball on the bumper, but the tongue height probably won't be correct. Much better off with the receiver hitch.
You can get one for that price, but most would argue it's not comparable to the OEM. The...
I don't know, maybe?
The Tazer can:
Set Trailer Tow: Configure the vehicle for MOPAR trailer towing wiring kit
Since all the Gladiators have the wiring, that may just be for the Wrangler.
Does it also enable the zoom feature? IDK. Might dig around the Wrangler side of things to see.
Also, do...
This is true, and the main reason I am not going that route myself. But doesnt seem to be a concern for most people. Truthfully, I'm pushing almost 13k miles, and I have yet to use it, but I still don't want to give it up.
I just looked at the 2022 order guide. 2 things jumped out:
1: If you're doing it right, the tow package is costing you less then $500. That makes it even a better deal compared to doing it yourself.
2: Unless you're just towing little utility trailers (in which case, just use a ball on the step...
My 2 cents, which is all it's worth.
The tow package is what? $550?
Just buying the OEM hitch is $300.
You think you might not need the stronger fan, but since you said you plan to tow a lot, remember the stronger fan isn't just related to ambient temps. When you are towing a heavier load, you...
Don, a lot of questions can be easily answered by downloading a copy of the owner's manual.
Also, the ACC will shut down after something like 20-30 minutes to prevent killing the batteries. There's a thread here somewhere about that in relation to using the radio at a drive-in movie.
Are they replacing BOTH batteries each time? As was mentioned earlier, because they are not truly isolated, when one goes bad, it usually takes the other one with it.
One flaw I see almost everyone making is that you are assuming that when the pump shuts off, the tank is full.
On our JK, that's pretty much the case. If you top it off, you're lucky to get a few tenths of a gallon before you're spilling gas.
On the Gladiator, I can easily get a couple more...
The aux switch option is almost a no brainer for the price. Chances are, most people are going to use it at some point, and this is one of those things that is a better deal having the factory do it.
The fact of the matter is, unless something is blatantly unsafe or illegal, there is usually a lot of discretion involving the attitude of both police and driver.
If you get pulled over right after the cop's wife left him for his mother, and you get snarky about the powdered sugar on his...
