  1. Please teach me about jscan

From what I have seen and read, the speedo is off on a lot of JT's from the factory. Maybe they did it to show better gas mileage. IDK. I do know mine was off and showing I was driving a lot more miles than I actually was. KevinC
  2. Vacation! Soft top or hard top??

Unfortunately we are in that time of year that high tide happens in the middle of the afternoon and it gets pretty high up into the traffic lanes. There really is nothing you can do about it. $ 20 a day is a pretty steep fee to pay to just get on the beach, but the money is used for the greater...
  3. Cruising St. Augustine Beach, FL

I was driving solo so not able to get pics like your quality. St. Augustine is a unique town. A!A will have you confused and the beach is one way driving. Coming from a lifetime of driving Volusia County beached (2-way traffic), the first time I drove St. Augustine I went the wrong way. Got a...
  4. Spare Tire Mounting Options?

Why waste bed space when the Gladiator is designed to carry the 5th wheel under the bed. If you are concerned with the finish getting damaged why not plastidip it. You stated it is your spare, that means you will not be rotating it. Plastidip peals right off.
  5. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Correct- these keys require a coded machine to cut them. Normally a locksmith will have made that investment. Local hardware store not so much.
  6. Wheel experts- is this fixable-ish?

A good quality dremel with emory and/or fine grit wheel should smooth it out without removing anymore metal. I would find good touch-up paint.
  7. Vacation! Soft top or hard top??

I Edited it because it has been awhile since I've seen BCR going on. I did some research and it looks like they stopped doing it. With that said - I would have advised you to avoid Daytona if it was going on. No two ways to say it, BCR was not something you would have enjoyed being around with...
  8. Vacation! Soft top or hard top??

If all you are concerned about is what you listed, the soft top will be fine. I live 45 minutes from Daytona Beach and have been driving on the beach for most of my life. I would like to point out a few things that is going to happen. 1. Black College Reunion. This is normally the first weekend...
  9. All Terrain Tire Recommendations?

Have you driven a Gladiator with the Falken M/T? As soon as you leave the lot you will own 4 used tires that you don't want anymore. Seems like a substantial waste of money to me. The Falken M/T's are a very smooth driving tire. I would give them a chance before losing that kind of money.
  10. Daytona Jeep Week

I have been to three of them. I would classify it similar to Bike Week. If you are attending with friends you will enjoy it so much more. If you are going alone, you will get lost in the madness of a lot of Jeep people trying to do the same thing you are. I am not comfortable in crowds and it...
  11. Where did you WHEEL your Gladiator today?

St. Augustine, FL. You can spend all day pulling Toyota Rav4's out of the sand or just keep driving and enjoy the day.
  12. Florida friendly tire recommendations

Yes sir, they are the Kendra Klevlar 35x10.50x17. I was hesitate about buying an off brand tire that doesn't have a long term review yet. No other tire brand makes this size and it is perfect for my application so I took a chance. So far, no complaints. They ride/feel/perform just as good as the...
  13. Florida friendly tire recommendations

The key to driving in Florida and the soft sugar sand we have is airing down. I can go further with street tires at 12psi than anyone with M/T or A/T type tires at 30psi. The wider contact patch airing down creates is only half the process. The other half is less air in a tire creates flotation...
  14. Tell me about Ocala Tread Lightly

I was born and raised in Central Florida and used to practically live in the forest. My uncle ran dogs for many years and I cut my teeth on offloading chasing Walkers, chasing deer. Things have changed. I used to be a member of Orlando Jeep Club and we would ride Ocala once a month. I knew my...
  15. ∞ JEEP BEACH 2021 CHAT ∞

Are you following them on Facebook? It seems to me they are posting a new event daily with pertinent details. Being it has turned into such a big event, the staff may be overwhelmed some. My concern is just how big it has become. I'm not much into fighting people to look at a display or talk...
  16. Florida Roll Call!

Very unique. Ocala is the land of red dust and scratches.
  17. Saw my first of the new Broncos today.

Yep,same. I kept seeing a Bronco Sport in town and thought someone took an Escape and put "BRONCO" letters across the front grill.
  18. Meguiar’s Hybrid Ceramic Wax

Being in Florida as yourself, I understand the need for paint protection. Mequires has always been good stuff along all their products. But the Turtle Wax has been the easiest to use and seems to hold up longer. Turtle Wax has come a long way since the 70-80's.
  19. Kenda Klever R/T KR601 35x10.50R17

I got 34.25" with them mounted on Jeep. They balanced well and drive as true as the Falkens that came on it. Impressed so far.
