  1. UCONNECT 8.4 INFO update to the app

I realize this thread is 6 months old but has anyone figured out, or read "anywhere", about the timing of updating the "vehicle data"? Mine updates anywhere from "1 hour" to "over a week ago". There doesn't seem to be any consistency to when it happens. There has be something that...
  2. Survey- For those with misfire issues

I can't imagine what the locking pliers are being used for on a "new" vehicle. Maybe there's a reason but nothing comes to mind..... The other thing that looks odd to me is that it appears the auxiliary battery is still connected.
  3. Survey- For those with misfire issues

Years ago I did have some luck with Marvel Mystery oil. Helped keep the mosquitoes down too....
  4. Survey- For those with misfire issues

Yep, not something I’d recommend. Along with draining the oil, filling the crankcase with kerosene to free up stuck rings. And not to forget shoving bananas in the diff to quiet gear whine....
  5. Survey- For those with misfire issues

Dust some Comet down the intake. That’ll seat the rings.....

  7. Survey- For those with misfire issues

The most important thing is keeping a log of the date and mileage when the light comes on. I also detail conditions when the malfunction light(s) came on, like engine warm, cold, MPH and RPM. At the very least (in theory) it will help the diagnosis. If you do pursue the legal route, having...
  8. Has anyone bought a gladiator lately, in stock off the lot?

I bought my Gladiator Overland end of July. MSRP: $55,610. Sale price: $50,474. As with most "deals", there are other factors. The dealer comped a Mopar folding bed cover ($950) and over-allowed for my 2004 F250. The trade appraisal came in at $8,800 but they ended up giving me the $12k I...
  9. Is there an argument for a naked bed?

Technology has certainly changed in the last 50 years. The internal combustion engine would have succumbed to environmental regulations long ago if not for the microchip and processors. The contraption above is an example of an advanced analog invention from the early 60s. It’s a rally...
  10. Is there an argument for a naked bed?

I really like my Jeep Gladiator, spray in liner, bed mat, cover and all.....
  11. Is there an argument for a naked bed?

LOF? I remember there were 14 grease fittings on an MB when I started....
  12. Is there an argument for a naked bed?

    Sand blast spark plugs? Really
  13. Is there an argument for a naked bed?

Here’s another oldie. If you know what this is, there’s not much time left....
  14. Is there an argument for a naked bed?

Made in Tennessee, Byrd head, a great machine.
  15. Is there an argument for a naked bed?

A piston ring grover? That's old school for sure. You guys are speaking my language. As my Dad told me: "buy the best and take care of it". I have many old tools I tune up, use and pamper. I still have my first chainsaw from 1964. Off subject but, fun stuff....
  16. Survey- For those with misfire issues

Almost 2,200 miles now. No faults recorded since 8/20. I've driven some highway but mostly local short trips. The engine is really running well and the power seems to have improved with miles - like any other new vehicle I've driven. Averaging 20.4mpg overall. I get an occasional "lump" or...
  17. Is there an argument for a naked bed?

That's the exact one I bought. Perfect fit and thick.
  18. Is there an argument for a naked bed?

Go ahead and get a rubber mat, they need to do things with all those recycled tires - downside is it stinks like H E double hockey sticks for a few months....
  19. Is there an argument for a naked bed?

This may sound strange but I prefer a spray in liner and a rubber bed mat. I had a spray in liner put in my old F250 and found it to be "slippery" for some cargo. I added a rubber mat and things stayed in place better. To each his/her own but for me this combination, while expensive, works...
  20. Rack Madness

OK, I've spent way too much time looking at racks - for the roof of my Gladiator that is. I see that Mopar doesn't want their roof rack attached to the Freedom Panel (gutters), only the actual Hardtop. I also see many websites showing front roof racks attached to the Freedom Panels. I started...
