  1. Who uses heated seats for back therapy?

Cadillacs and Chevy trucks allow you to turn on the backrest heat w/o the seat heat. My last job was powertrain calibration in GM trucks and I didn't go a day w/o using those! :)

Dammit ? Beat me by3 minutes
  3. Who knew! Damnit!

  6. 2023 Chevy Colorado just dropped... What does that mean for the Gladiator.

I was responsible for getting the extra torque out of the 2.7L - It really drives nicer than the V8s. If only we got the 10 speed, it would be even better. The 1500 tows 9600# like a freight train, up 68 outside of Davis Dam at 114F with zero issues. The particular day we were out testing in...
  7. 2023 Chevy Colorado just dropped... What does that mean for the Gladiator.

Cylinder deactivation is nearly imperceptible and not a hydraulic setup like on the V8s. Driving a 4 cylinder 1500 the same way I drive my Gladiator - I get almost 3 MPG better in the Chevy.
  8. I think I'm going to be sick.

Since air is 78% nitrogen, you can tell your wife it's like a $156 discount everytime you air-up! :D
  9. 2023 Chevy Colorado just dropped... What does that mean for the Gladiator.

Really just two left: C8 and the CT5 Blackwing. :(
  10. 2023 Chevy Colorado just dropped... What does that mean for the Gladiator.

I don't feel it is a coincidence :D Unless that maxtow is a diesel or an inline 6, it won't feel as good as the new Colorado. That truck really pulls great.
  11. 2023 Chevy Colorado just dropped... What does that mean for the Gladiator.

I totally get you. One of the reasons I wanted a JT was to have a manual trans. You should revisit the colorado just to see how much it has changed. I spent roughly 18 months working out of several different prototypes. Sometimes spending 12 hours a day driving across the country. Wasn't a...
  12. 2023 Chevy Colorado just dropped... What does that mean for the Gladiator.

I get by with a bed extender for what I need. :)
  13. 2023 Chevy Colorado just dropped... What does that mean for the Gladiator.

I was the guy that got the added torque and power out of the 2.7L and I can tell you the vehicle teams were targeting the Gladiator as a competitor. As a JTR owner myself, thinking of daily driver, the Colorado wins hands down - but that's not why I bought a JTR instead of waiting for the new...
  14. What is an unpopular opinion you have in the Jeep community?

They should have put the orange dash in the green JTR as well. :D
  15. Ecodiesel power derating as temps rise?

And the engineers did the best they did with what they had to work with. If you think the engineers had unlimited options, you're sorely mistaken.
  16. What is an unpopular opinion you have in the Jeep community?

People that use "real jeep"....
  17. What is an unpopular opinion you have in the Jeep community?

I think ducking jeeps is incredibly stupid. I immediately lose all respect for someone that changes to a "grumper" / "angry" grille. The whole "jeep thing" or "Jeep girl" thing. Christ. I'm a grumpy old man. But hey, you asked.
  18. Colorado trails

264 out of Montezuma. Did it years ago - not challenging, but it gets you up above the tree line and is really beautiful. Totally wife safe.
