I ordered mine straight from aev, shipping was more but I got them in four day. I would prefer to order the company straight, that way if there was an issue it could be handled at the source vs a middle man.
They are onyx. I kind of like the gunmetal color. There is a little bit of poke outside of the fenders. Going from stock rubicon wheels to the Aev’s though did make the truck feel more planted... hard to describe exactly but not bad. It most likely is from the additional weight from stock.
I kind of figured as much and I could have looked them up. Thanks for the response. I appreciate the statement of overthinking it, I use that all the time with stuff I teach.
Have you had any negative side effects of having an electric retractable step yet? I keep thinking these would have an issue offroad if you ever needed to get out in a less than ideal area, does the motor for the step stop if there is resistance from the bottom? I’m thinking if you are in the...
Just purchased as well. In your testing, have you found any difference in the amount of clarity from the image in the back up camera with the additional light?
I installed the voswitch over the weekend. It’s pretty straight forward and does exactly what it says it is supposed to. I will say the switch panel that is provided isn’t the most robust item but it doesn’t need to be. If you applying a lot of pressure to turn on some lights, there might be a...
I think the rokblokz regular size are great for what I needed them for. I park in a gravel/ mud parking lot everyday and without them the truck looked like hot garbage and covered with mud no matter what. The regular size with 315s have been great, I feel like they are the appropriate size and I...
It’s been crazy, like the friction zone is sooo narrow and the clutch pressure is so light so you have to be Johnny on the spot or Joanne on the spot with your application of pressure on the left foot and right foot. It is more pronounced in 4hi which surprised me.
Finally got around to install my voswitch and driving lights. The voswitch was fairly painless. The instructions were clear enough and thorough.
Mount the box under the hood,
route control switch box wires into the cabin via lowering the front windshield enough to route the wire,
run wire...
I purchased my 2020 JTR 6-spd back in September 2020. Since it was a manual and on the dealer’s lot for a month or so, I was able to get a great deal on it.
Since Owning it I have installed the following:
ARB stubby bumper
Nilight ARB knock-off LED driving lights
Rocblokz regular mudflaps...
Does anyone know if there would be a negative side effect for running the mopar lift lower control arms with the aev geo bracket that comes in their lift? I’m interested in the aev kit but already have the mopar lower control arms on.
Like the title asks, is it worth replacing the rubicon shocks with aftermarket 0-1.5” shocks? I keep looking at falcon 2.1s and sp2 2.1s. Outside of the head bobble when driving down rutted out roads and trails, is there any downside to the rubicon shocks? I only have a 1.5” front spacer and...
I went with the arb stubby as well. No complaints, customer service has been phenomenal. As for the lights, I went with the knock of arb lights and the hardware was fine. I will say, if you don’t have a winch the gap is pretty large and there is not plate to cover the space with.
Yeah that has been my concern, some rando tech getting assigned the task. The dealer I have used in the past had some issues with doing work on a wk2 grand that I previously had. It took them over 10 hours to install an ARB bumper... the instruction sheet from arb templates 4 hours. So maybe I...
Has anyone had the dealer do a gear swap yet with 4.88 gear set that mopar sells? There are a couple of decent independent shops within an 1.5 hours of me but I like the idea of the dealership doing the regear for ease of warranty. Am I off base on saying that? That a dealer is a better route or...
