I wanted a Mojave over the others for multiple reasons.
1) I do not intend to any rock crawling because I am not going to take my ‘new’ $60k truck and risk bashing in the sides unless there is an apocalypse and then I won’t really care. Therefore, the Rubi’s admirable crawl ratio is...
I hit 60mph on the beach and wash board fire roads, you can crawl at 5mph all you want, it’s not fun at all. going 60 in the woods is something a rubicon could never do and I’ll keep smiling as you go over a rock lol

These are differential guards formed of solid steel bars inserted through a heavy flange then welded. They fit on top of the stock differential covers. The flange prevents a rock from peeling the cover open, and the cage helps protect against head-on...

Little back story on my suspension progression,
JTR gas, wanted a little more lift installed the IronRock 2" spacer lift on factory suspension stance was good. Ran that for a few months, but springs and shocks still too soft for my setup.
Replaced...

The ARB diff covers come with a dipstick, and both the dipstick and drain port have magnets. Easy to check / top up / replace fluid without pulling the cover (although you should, and you know it ;)).
Nodular iron handles granite impacts quite nicely. Bruised the paint with a direct impact on...
I had diff skids on my 2018 JKU on 35's, with oem diff covers.
I was thinking I would do the opposite so I don't lose any clearance. Not one fraction of an inch clearance loss.
I ran The Rubicon trail last year. Your rear diff will drag on rocks, and If you have to back up, or slip off a rock, you will hit the bottom of the front diff, and possibly your rear diff cover.. I had both Diff skids and nodular iron Diff covers (all Metalcloak).. My rear diff skid took...
On the weight reduction thing, I am seriously on the hunt. This JT of mine feels better with all the weight it recently lost. The lithium iron battery and the aluminum rear bumper are close to emptying my bag of tricks. I am now looking at those electric steps I bolted on to make my frau happee...
...pull your coils and compress and droop the suspension and figure it out. But there are multiple shock extensions on the market.
These from IronRock Off Road are exactly 2" and only $100.
Metalcloak also has upper and lower extensions. I don't know what sizes they all are, but I do know...
IM still trying to figure out if I want to go clone or something else. Iron Bear Customs has my interest. Hard to compete with their pricing. The one thing that concerns me is the weight. I think they said 130lbs for the full length bumper.
Second belongs to Rock Hard full length aluminum...
Bilstein a tough one to beat in that price range from what I’ve gathered.
I have rough country’s V2 monotube shocks and they’ve been pretty good. They’re about $520 for all four. They’re good if you like a stiffer ride and shorter lasting bounces.
For example I fly over train tracks like they...
If you can swing just a little bit more I am going to be selling my Falcon SP2 3.3's for 2-3" lift very soon. Great shape and you can IM me for details if you'd like.

What are the best shocks I can get in the $4-600 range? I’d love Fox or Falcon but they’re not in the budget. I really need to get these IronRock shock extensions off of this thing. . So far the leader is Bilstein 5100s for around $440. Also looking for opinions on Rancho 9000XL. 2 inch lift...
