I have FOX 2.0 shocks that are meant for 0-1.5” lift on a stock height JT. I love how these drive and would love to keep them with a 2.5” lift. I wont be doing any off-roading or major towing and have no heavy cargo. I was wondering about recommendations or info on shock extenders. I want to make sure they are safe and wont mess anything up. I have done a little research but could find many detailed reviews so need help.

If you won’t be doing any off roading I would think those shocks would be fine without extenders

The proper way to know is to pull your coils and compress and droop the suspension and figure it out. But there are multiple shock extensions on the market.
These from Iron Rock Off Road are exactly 2" and only $100.
Metalcloak also has upper and lower extensions. I don't know what sizes they all are, but I do know their upper front extensions measure 3".

The main thing to watch for is accidentally utilizing the shock body as a bump stop.

A set of 2.5" lift coils may net 2" in the front, or it may net 4". Depends on the brand and vehicle configuration. Which loops back around to measuring being the best way to know.
