  1. BEWARE - JEEP ISNT WHAT YOU THINK IT IS [LOCKED: USER BANNED]

Well sorry to hear but my experience is complete different !! 2023 Gladiator Rubicon 58,000 miles and still going strong !! Been so many places in this thing .. rocks, gravel, asphalt, mud, mountains, deserts, forest, water crossings, Arctic Ocean !! My Gladiator is a beast of an overland vehicle !
  2. BEWARE - JEEP ISNT WHAT YOU THINK IT IS [LOCKED: USER BANNED]

Theres always a few bad apples in every product. I have read that the 850RE (found in the gasser) might see more issues than a German built ZF, but overall they are a great transmission. One of the best performing transmissions I've owned.
  3. BEWARE - JEEP ISNT WHAT YOU THINK IT IS [LOCKED: USER BANNED]

I agree with everything but the transmission. I had the D clutch go out in mine. I am not a fan of the ZF transmission. Jeep replaced mine and gave me an extended warranty for my troubles. I didn't have my truck for 6 weeks because of supply issues, hench the extended warranty as compensation.

So, have the issues taken care of. Did you have the vehicle inspected?

...Jeep homo Bought my 2020 gladiator a year ago with 40k miles. I heard the horror stories about jeep issues so thankfully I got an extended warranty because in 8000 miles this thing has 1. Almost flipped on the highway at 70mph from the “death wobble”, a known defect and factory recall that...
  7. Heated steering stopped working

Thanks, i have a feeling that will be my issue as well. Im out of the warranty period but ill look into the pricing
  8. Heated steering stopped working

...case (and probably yours) the fault is inside the steering wheel itself and not really accessible to fix. To fix it you have to replace the entire unit. Luckily I had an extended warranty plan that paid for it. I actually like the new one better; went from slick leather to a more textured...
  9. Coolant Expansion Tank: Leaking

If it leaks from the bottom, it's possible that the connector is broken and an aluminum reservoir won't fix that. It's the hose connection itself. If it leaks from the top, it's most likely the inlet where the hose connects to. An aluminum reservoir would fix that. Determine where the leak is...
  10. Coolant Expansion Tank: Leaking

...still witness marks of small seeping and I can smell coolant. The dealer checked it out today, and it's not covered under my extended warranty, nor could they get the part today so I ended up declining the work It seems dead simple to do myself, my only question is do I just get the stock...
  11. What’s worn out faster than you expected?

That’s a smart move if you’re planning to keep it long term. Glad to hear they’ve been holding up better since and hopefully that trend continues. 🤞
  12. What’s worn out faster than you expected?

So far yes. Also purchased the extended warranty just in case, as I hope to have the truck for a long time.
  13. How did YOU talk your dealership into actually fixing death wobble?

@Rahkmalla Dealt with this in too many Jeeps. Death Wobble is caused by alignment and wornout parts. Dealers do nto fix stuff anymore they remove and replace stuff. Most techs do not actually know how diagnose a problem and worse yet do not know where to look to fix. That warnetee is real...
  14. How did YOU talk your dealership into actually fixing death wobble?

I've had it twice both times they fixed it under warranty without a question. My suspension is all factory and thats the on.y reason from what I was told. They asked me right away if I had modified it otherwise it would be problem. Both times twas a worn out stabilizer. See s to last about 30k...
  15. How did YOU talk your dealership into actually fixing death wobble?

I'll echo what others have said. Spend the money on a torque wrench and check everything yourself. Alternatively, find a good shop and pay them to do it. Not sure where in NJ you are but Globex Performance in Tom's River is top notch.
  16. How did YOU talk your dealership into actually fixing death wobble?

Fortunately, I haven’t had issues re: death wobble with my Jeeps but I did with my 1996 Ram; oh boy it was white knuckle time. I took my Ram to my reputable 4x4 shop where they replaced the steering stabilizer and it seemed ok for a while but then came back when I crossed the same bridge...
  17. How did YOU talk your dealership into actually fixing death wobble?

Check the Tracking Bar for wear and torque on that and get an Alignment. Steering Stabilizer is not the issue from my experience. Check for worn Bushings on Control Arms and Tie Rod,
  18. How did YOU talk your dealership into actually fixing death wobble?

...would not contribute to a wobble issue. Take truck in yesterday... today they tell me they replaced the steering stabilizer under extended warranty and nothing else (well, nothing else relevant, they measured my brake pads and tire tread). I asked them if they could check the torque on my...
  19. I was going to change the oil at 1,000 miles but dealer said I’d do harm. True or false?

I am not disagreeing with you about AMSOIL Signature Series motor oil. However, someone who switches to AMSOIL Signature Series should know the details. For a vehicle that is past warranty and is taken off-road, the price-per-mile and time savings can't be beat. Powertrain warranty: Because...
  20. Extended Warranty

First go to your dealer and get a quote for the Chrysler Max Care warranty than go to this thread: Mopar Extended Warranty $50 over Dealer Cost @GrangerMotors I spent half the price with GrangerMotors than what the dealership quoted me. When a dealer wants $3,000 it can be hard to justify the...
