They totally screwed up the paint repairing my top. Then they would no longer respond to my calls. Really deserves a lawsuit against Rockie Williams Jeep in Mt. Juliet, TN. They’v also declined to respond about the TSB for the steering.
Continued working on my onboard air. Relocated the quick connect closer to the tailgate. Next step is to figure out how to mount a switch where it works with or at least around the swing case
Use the drivers side to lock up my laptop, iPad, and my kid's Nintendo switch when I have to go inside somewhere. Can’t use the passenger side because the car seat is there lol
Is the benefit of the Hellroaring just that you have more options and can totally separate the backup battery or is the parasitic draw a big concern? Does it still have the limit of the 6 ESS events like the genesis setup?
Glad you responded! Wasn’t sure if you stayed active on this forum or just over on the JL side. Your threads are a wealth of knowledge. Thanks for taking the time. That second link is exactly what I’m looking for. I’ll study it and I might have some more questions :)
problem with it seems to be that you get the error messages on the dash while using it. Unless I’m misunderstanding their product page and a couple of forum threads I’ve read. That kit was what made me know I wanted something like this
Alright this is a response I was hoping for. I saw discussion around the Hellroaring isolator. Did you just buy the Genesis tray and then this isolator? Did you do anything similar to the link I posted from JL Forum as far as creating a jumper for N1 and N2 to keep ESS from still working or at...
I searched for this but didn’t find anything specific to the JT. Apologies if I missed it and if it has already been answered, please link me to the answer :)
I'm following this thread at JL Wrangler Forum. https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/3-6l-ess-aux-battery-bypass.17293/...
Completed quite a few things over the past week or so. Ran 12V power to the bed to a fuse panel with 8 gauge wire along with a 100 amp breaker to the battery. Now to figure out what else besides my onboard air to power with it :)
Also added the ZAutomotive front camera with their new bracket...
mine always rattles or creaks up near the two front bolts near the freedom panels if I don’t get them tight enough. Maybe I should try some just to see.
i can’t imagine that with the thumb screws I could ever tighten them enough to make the top not creak and pop. I have to use setting 9 on my drill to tighten them enough for that not to happen. Would love to hear if that’s not the case. Would be much easier and quicker to remove the thumbscrews.
Does this kit level the truck or is there some rake left? Apologies if you already answered this. I didn’t see it reading thru the thread. In pics, the 3.5 seems pretty level but the 2.5 appears to have some rake. I would like to go to something like your kit next. I currently have a rubicon...
