Keep in mind that it wont function as a limited slip unless you are in 4wd

Its not really the gears, its the carrier that you need. Swap your gears over if it is the same carrier front to back

Low charging or paranoid?
It is a charge on demand system, the voltage is all over the place. Was a bit unnerving the 1st time I saw it as well

My YJ with stock linkage is always frowning because it is bent!! The JT looks like 1 ton compared to the YJ steering

Mine sounded similar on cold start-up in the morning. Ended up with scored cylinder walls and a replaced engine. This was @ 1100 miles

New JT Gladiator Steering Issue TSB 08-074-20 (for "Improved Steering Feel")
Took ours in to the dealer last night, they knew about the TSB and parts are on back order.

Normal voltage while running
I noticed this on mine as well, used to seeing it at or slightly above 14v. Not the case and I think this is normal on the newer cars. My Camaro does it as well
