  1. GOA to Host First Ever GEAR Event (Guns & Overlanding)

GOA is hosting an interesting event that includes training in both guns and overlanding. The locale is in the Palo Duro area near Amarillo. My wife and i did a Jeep Jamboree in this area and had a great time. (Our neighbors were puzzled where all the red dirt came from.) Won't be able to make...
  2. California Sold: Morro Bay Takeoffs: $500 OBO Priced to Sell - Set of 5 Stock JT Rubicon Falken Wildpeak A/T 33" Tires on Stock JT Rubicon Wheels including Spare

UPDATE: Finally sold these in July of 2024 on Craigslist. Although i love the JGF as a happy member since early 2019, this forum ad in the member marketplace section was not only completely ineffective, with zero replies, it was also overly burdensome with excessive red tape. Total waste of time...
  3. Get 4 New 37's, Keep Using Factory 33 Spare?

I found several similar threads but none on this specific question. It's almost time to get new tires and i would like to run 37's. (I have Mopar 2.5" lift.) Most people here seem to like 37's, and apparently some are able to fit a smaller 37 in spare tire well. Awhile back my dealer also...
  4. Manual JTR with 37" Tires--Comments?

My 2020 JT Rubicon (4:10 gearing standard) with manual transmission is stock now but i'll soon be getting 2" Mopar lift. 37's are a popular choice but i've heard the experience is not so great with manual transmission. I do not want to have to regear. Also concerned about strain on axles...
  5. Replacing Air Filter

This sounds stupid but after a really dusty trail ride i decided to inspect air filter--tried to remove it but couldn't. Per manual i loosened the 4 screws, only one of them came out, the others apparently stay in no matter how much you unscrew them. I was not able to remove cover, only was...
  6. Mopar Catback Exhaust on JT

Has anyone yet installed Mopar's catback exhaust system? Is it too loud? or just right in terms of handling first gear? ;) Also, any noticeable difference in horsepower?
  7. Quadratec QRC Steel Bumper with Stealth Winch

I'm at Cole Jeep in SLO right now, just want to put the word out that Zac here is a real expert and did a great job installing a steel bumper and winch combo i got a great deal on over at Quadratec. Zac even cut a section of the skid plate so the skid plate could be left in place protecting sway...
  8. Need for Rustproofing and Undercoating

I want to take Gladys to the beach to play in the sand. Won't let her get near the water, but i'm sure sand has a lot of corrosive salt in it so i'm wondering if i should get the Mopar-listed Master Shield Rustproofing and Undercoating (not sure of the difference exactly) treatments. Are these...
  9. Optional Slush Mats: Is this hole supposed to be there?

I ordered the optional all-weather slush mats and noticed there is a hole allowing water to drain and soak the carpet underneath (you can feel the carpet through the hole). Just wondering--is this hole supposed to be covered with some sort of cap?
  10. Design Idea for Hardtop Removal / Storage

Maybe someone out there can design/produce this: It's been said that the JT hardtop is light and could be carried by one person except that it's too bulky to remove over the bed. How about a system, maybe utilizing the trail rail system, that allows the hardtop to be gently laid back onto a...
  11. What is GVWR for Manual JT Rubicon>

Question for anyone who has a manual JT Rubicon, or otherwise in the know: what is your GVWR? GVWR on automatics seems to be 6250, based on JT Rubicon autos i've seen on dealer lots. Of course towing capacity is less on manual--does that mean GVWR is less?
