  1. a/c pressure switch- schrader or no?

Can the AC pressure switch be removed without opening up the refrigerant system? I’m familiar with older systems that utilize a Schrader valve between the pressure switch and the refrigerant line in order to maintain pressure when changing the switch, but I can’t find any information on whether...
  2. Mojave front springs and airlift 1000 bags with sport fender flares

I have a 3.6 overland with Mojave front springs (stiffest oem JT option) and overland rear springs with airlift 1000 bags set to 30psi in them. The overland has the lower sport flares paired with factory mojave/rubicon 285/70r17 takeoffs. The mojave front springs netted 1.5” of height gain with...
  3. 4 years, 75k miles across 48 states- Why I loved it and why I sold it (3.0 diesel)

This post is specifically for anybody considering an ecodiesel and is looking for real world feedback I special ordered my Sport S 3.0 in June of 2021, took delivery with 5 miles on it. For 75k miles it was the most enjoyable Jeep I've ever owned. It lived just about the best life that a modern...
  4. HPFP recall done- fuel filter isn’t replaced?

I just got my Jeep back from having the high-pressure fuel pump recall performed. I was shocked to see that the service does not include changing the old filter out. I confirmed with the service advisor that that is not something that is done during the recall. I don’t mind changing the filter...
  5. Thoughts on large metal strips in oil filter?

Did an oil change on a friends 3.6 today. New vehicle, this is the first oil change at 3k. Found these large, non-ferrous strips in the filter. There are 6-8 of them, each roughly 1.5” long and about the thickness of a bbq grill brush strand. I’m used to small particles from break-in, but this...
  6. Diesel fuel filter- is this normal? (pics)

I've religiously changed my fuel filter at 15k mile intervals. This is the third one I've installed (OEM) and each time, there is sediment present on the top of the filter. Its always the same amount and same texture/color. It does not appear to be attractive to a magnet and has the consistency...
  7. Are all JT brakes the same?

Are the calipers and rotors the same across all JT trims and powertranes?
  8. NOx code, egr replace @29k

Just a little background, 06/21 build date with no engine/exhaust modifications. Gladiator is built for long-haul trips, never a daily, and sees almost exclusively highway mileage (cross country trips). At 28k miles I got a brief NOx related code that cleared itself (P20EE). I was cross-country...
  9. Prevent interior power while camping?

I do a lot of extended camping, sometimes 10 days at a time without moving the jeep. After 5 to 7 days, the constant opening and closing of the doors to access gear in the vehicle drains the battery down. I usually don’t have external power so a trickle charger isn’t possible. Is there any way...
  10. Long start after fuel filter?

For those of you who have changed your fuel filter yourself, have you noticed a longer than usual start on the first start? Every video I've watched has shown a long crank- perhaps 2-3 seconds- after thoroughly priming the new fuel filter. Is this normal?
  11. Statistics for 3.0 failure rate

Jeep and Ram have recently released stats related to the gen2 ecodiesel recall for the CP4 HPFP. There are 138,645 vehicles in the recall and reports of 1279 failures. So can one deduce that the known failure rate is just shy of 1%? .9225 to be precise.
  12. Sport flares vs Rubicon flares

To me, the basic fender flares look better with the rubicon wheels and suspension than what comes standard on the rubicon. Maybe Jeep should consider offering the high clearance flares as an added option on the rubicon packages, as opposed to automatically including them.
  13. What changes would you like to see on the next gladiator?

Just a few small items I wish jeep would change for the gladiator facelift: Better side mirrors (or offer factory tow mirrors) Power rear sliding window on the hardtop Dead pedal Extra power port in the left cubby blank on the models without lockers or locate factory brake controller here A...
  14. Dealership wants $115 for fuel filter, $125 for oil filter

I'm not new to diesels and well aware that diesel maintenance costs more, but the prices for pars at the dealership are becoming ridiculous. Are other places gouging on maintenance parts like they are in the DC area? Even MOPAR's official online pricing is less ($70 and $105)
  15. DIESEL ONLY: How long has your fuel pump lasted?

I should never have googled CP4 failures. How many miles do you have on your ecodiesel and have you had any HPFP related issues? I'm at 15,500 and no problems
  16. Do you use a cetane booster?

How many of you use a diesel additive for lubricity/cetane booster? From what I’ve read, US spec ULSD is below the recommended Bosch levels for the HP4 pump. Motorcraft (Ford) sells a cetane booster for their powerstrokes, but I don’t see anything from Mopar. Thoughts?
  17. Aftermarket seats? Workaround for SRS?

Any news on whether there will be a workaround for the airbag in the stock front seats to run aftermarket? Looking for a tuner or a tried and true plug in resistor to keep the service light off. Thanks!
