Still running on those Falken Wild Peaks I see.
Those rear stability bar ends look like they are gonna catch on stuff in the bush, but likely no more so than a Power Wagon, etc.
More pronounced rear lift than before it seems, but could be the angle of the photo.
Hey, itās possible, donāt lose hope based on my assumptions.
One thingās for sure, weāll have a much better idea once we see exactly what it is on the Sahara JLU, especially if we get some torque specs on it at some point.
These may help, pretty detailed including some of the drawbacks;

Yep, thatās exactly my need for Selec-Trac too.
I usually drive about 100-200 miles to get to the Ski Hill or the BackCountry / Trailhead; and while the Ministry folks usually do a good job cleaning the TransCanada and other big highways, sometimes first tracks / ascent means being on the...
Hopefully. I like love the NV242 (essentialy NV241 with FT), and hope that a refreshed & strengthened version of that is what we get. It canāt be a straight NV242 drop in due to axle/spline issues, but a variation like they did for the Hummer would address that, so a nice new NV242OR sounds...
JL gets Selec-Trac, JT likely wonāt due to the slightly lower torque handling of most current SlecTrac versions.
Itās not really unprecedented for Jeep, just for the CJ-JK, it was offered on a Willys-like Jeepster, and of course is on many previous Cherokees, GCs, and all e current...
Needs a better Radio/Head Unit, No Vented Seats, No Steering Wheel mounted media / cruise control, a Metal box for an Armrest !?!
For $60K itās dated crap !!
;) JK
Just needed to use the typical anti-Wrangler arguments in perspective.
Which if you read the recent TruckTrend / Motor Trend review of the Power Wagon vs the Raptor vs ZR2, they were surprised that in the Real World that the Raptor was the Squirrely one at high speed on even just dirt roads and the PW and ZR2 felt way more planted. That surprised the heck out of...
I think the base will be like a current base JK, it will have features well beyond the average ābaseā truck and will start in the low 30K range and go up from there.
There wonāt be a bare bones, the other truck companies can provide a 2WD truck with small street tires and weak features compared...
I understand what youāre saying, but youāre not appreciating the challenge of your market for Wrangler products. Iāll use the generic Wrangler in the example because JT production and supply vs demand is still unknown at this point with optimistic estimates it will outsell the JL/JLU combined...
Nope.
The first one is NAFTA with an N not an M, ie North American Free Trade Accord. Those vehicles are destined for the US, Canada & Mexico.
The second one is a Chrysler acronym which Iāve heard two variations on, B-uilt U-units for eXport or B-uild U-p eXport, which is essentially...
Because it has a specific market segment that it can dominate. Why big a small fish in a big pond where you have to compete on price, versus being a bigger fish is a pond you can have mainly for yourself?
They need to get the pricing they need to recoup the higher costs to make the JT...
They arenāt meant to be a work truck, this is a leisure truck, and they aren't meant to sell large numbers abroad either.
The Ranger and its Asian counterparts are made closer to market and are meant to be sold in volume, and sold on aggressive pricing.
Thatās not this vehicle.
Now, if sales...
Not in truck form.
It is unknown if the JT will get a different tune for this truck application vs the JL. I donāt expect Ram 1500 numbers because that requires a lot of features that take up space that the Wrangler engine bay doesnāt have, but it would be nice to see a boost in HP or even more...
Still prefer our old Pioneer, and the name.
Just drop the Comanche component to the name, even though I never felt it to be derogatory ( same as Scout or Chief always thought they were complimentary ).
Yeah, and in that case the starting point is the Hemi so the premium is actually higher than on the base models, because itās the $1,450 of the Hemi , plus $3,120 so $4,570 instead of $4,270.
I dunno why itās not $2,820 as a premium instead of $3,120 , as thatās the differene between the two...
Depends on if itās for a base model or a package where a bunch of stuff may be thrown in, but usually itās consistent throughout, so likely closer to $4K than $3K.
Currently canāt configure a 2018 for diesel (just Pentastar and Hemi at the moment), but for the 2017 in Tradesman (requires 8ā...
