Just wanted an opinion about what gearing you guys are running. Currently I have had 5.13 in stock axles and running 37s for a long time now. Just wondering if I should continue to run this or consider going to a lower ratio. Any issues running at 5.13? This is for an upcoming build. TIA.
Well my 3.6 cam-lifters, etc decided to grenade at 92K miles. I've already contacted AMW to start the process for a 5.7 swap. If anyone is i curious it is an 8 week turnaround to get scheduled with 4 week quoted install time currently to send it to the mothership (in Michigan) for work. I'll...
So easy.
1) Pull F42 Fuse
2) Wrap up negative lead from Aux battery in electrical tape
3) (Optional) - Get a much better AGM battery
Done.
Also have a Tazer but you should have had one anyway, to permanently turn off start stop.
3.6 is dead. No use crying over this. If you really want one, just wait until the final engine options are announced for 2026, you should be able get a discount.
My predictions:
2026 - The end of the Pentastarch 3.6 in the Jeep JL/JT line. Engine line up will be:
Base 2.0 / 4xe
Base 5.7
Upcharge 6.4
Starting prices will be at under 60K for the 5.7 with a 8K upcharge for the 392. Options and YMMV.
Mark this post for future reference lol.
