Hi, like most of you, I have a multitude of parts and upgrades on my JT. I recently reached out to USAA my insurer with the hope of getting additional coverage after clarifying that USAA would only cover parts that were OEM and not anything beyond that. I have been with USAA for about 30 years...
In any case, I'm having a dealer transmission fluid service with my next oil change as I just passed 60K (no issues). I'm in AZ and the heat here/environment is extreme so a little preventative maintenance is better than $3500 or more for a new ZF.
Reviving thread. So are we assuming the lifetime of this transmission to be 150K? I understand it will need a rebuild at that time in any case? It'll probably the same time I do a 392 swap. LOL.
I have a 2020 Rubicon which has been built out to the way I love it. 56K miles and ready for new set of 37s. Pretty much worry free with usual wear and tear items. I suppose just gives me impetus to go to AMW for the next step in it's evolution to a 392 and tons. Sorry Jeep, you ain't gonna see...
No rear float? come on man.
Looks like Toyota will be scooping up sales with their new redesign.
There is really nothing there for existing owners to consider upgrading to a newer version at this time. I suppose we can hope to see a complete remodel in 2-3 years if this truck even exists.
Well, lots of real questions on here but I think I'd be curious if the JT will have a larger battery pack / smaller gas tank...? Who knows. I guess proof will be in the puddin'.
Great trip!
It's been a bit since we did that run (before it became a BOH trail) and my wife and I were stock at that time. It's a great trail! Looking forward to doing it again.
I'm in the AZ area, are you part of a group or do meetups? We are looking to go with groups.
True, but will top off at MSRP 70K with option packages (guess) and add on at ADM of $10-15K. Add another $3K for mandatory ceramic packages. $2K for VIN etching. $1000 for Baja nitrogen. $500 for Scotchgarde. $5000 desert scratch package. $500 cocaine and blow surcharge... yeah sheeyat adds up...
