  1. The passenger compartment is just a suggestion...

Yeah, I saw one recently with a bus that kept increasing "speed" up to 350mph or something.
  2. The passenger compartment is just a suggestion...

Here's the original clip. What I originally posted was a screen recording converted to gif.. May have originally been from a game.

  4. Jeep trademarks "Jeep Xtreme Performance"

Not sure if it's been posted... https://www.thedrive.com/news/jeep-trademarks-jeep-xtreme-performance-for-use-on-vehicles-and-parts Putting aside that the article mistakenly says that Xtreme Recon adds the HEMI, I wonder if this the branding Jeep will use to replace SRT and/or Trackhawk?
  5. 392 and Xtreme Recon Gladiator not happening; but 4xe likely...

Probably. Yes, probably, to all but the Gladiator. If they had cooling issues with the 2.0 (which they've implied), it probably won't be any better with the 3.0. But if the concept grill is coming with the refresh, as was speculated on the jl forum, that could be how they make the 2.0 work...
  6. 392 and Xtreme Recon Gladiator not happening; but 4xe likely...

https://www.motorauthority.com/news/1135622_jeep-boss-jeep-trackhawk-tbd-performance-v-8s-dead-for-grand-cherokee Not altogether unsurprising that the JT won't get the 392 or XR. Wrangler has volume and direct competition on it's side. I wonder if they're even seeking to compete with Ranger...
  7. Official: Hurricane Twin-Turbo 3.0 I-6 Coming for Jeep With Over 500 HP and 475 ft-lbs!

Yes, that was the initial reporting, however the press release stated: The bore on the 2.4 would be slightly bigger, but if they managed to keep it so compact, it would have to be through means other than bore/spacing.
  8. Official: Hurricane Twin-Turbo 3.0 I-6 Coming for Jeep With Over 500 HP and 475 ft-lbs!

Previous articles suggested it wouldn't just be a 2.0 with 2 more cylinders; that all the changes together would result in it being no more than 3" longer than the Tigershark (probably the 2.4l). It was posited that omitting cylinder liners was to reduce cylinder spacing. But the press...
  9. Official: Hurricane Twin-Turbo 3.0 I-6 Coming for Jeep With Over 500 HP and 475 ft-lbs!

So there ended up being nothing to the reports of tighter cylinder spacing. Possibly that was inferred from the use of the spray in coating over cylinder liners.

  11. Jeep Performance Parts Concepts Heading to the 56th Annual Easter Jeep Safari

I've long argued that those who argue for reducing CO2 and emissions, they should be focusing on hybrids in the light and heavy duty truck segment. It's the biggest segment in the market, and where the most gains could be made. The focus on mpg can be misleading, and can lead to an...

  13. Looking at getting an impact wrench

I previously mentioned Torque Test Channel on YouTube. Cordless pretty much dominates their rankings, and they're getting even more powerful. The latest Makita 1/2" mid torque is pushing into high torque territory, and the XGT 3/4" is putting out 1" numbers. Taking it out of the shop, this...

  15. I've now seen as many Mavericks and Santa Cruz as

K-8... we might be in the same town, lol. Saw a 4th Bronco today. The same night I saw #3, I also saw my first TRX (grey), or at least the first that jumped out at me. Saw it again today (in both cases, heading west on Rte 4 in Nottingham as I was heading to Portsmouth). The TRX is rather...

I know. And Ford still seems to have been less prepared, and responded worse than other manufacturers.

Bronco #3 today in Portsmouth. Cranking em out.
