Premieres tonight! Come join us! We had some built JL's and Gladiators in the group and one of the Gladys took on Axle Breaker and V-Notch at the Badlands in Indiana.
The tow rating of 4xe Wrangler is the same as non-4xe, 3500 lbs.
Payload rating is supposed to be roughly the same as non-4xe as well. Around 1100-1300 lbs or so.
That doesn't mean that the Gladiator tow and payload ratings will remain similar with 4xe, but it does show that they are shooting...
We also don't know the specs on the Gladiator battery, as it could very well be different than the Wrangler battery. Gladiator weighs more and has different program requirements, especially regarding towing and cooling. The back of the cab is also different... if the battery is housed under...
Hopefully now we can get a powertrain subform for the PHEV!
I assume this will be similar to the introduction of the diesel, in that the Gladiator will follow the Wrangler by 6-9 months. In that case we can possibly hope to see the Gladiator PHEV right at the beginning of the '22 model year...
This is an Australian publication, so some of the content is not relevant to NA, but the Jeep President confirms Gladiator PHEV is in the works and coming.

There have been a number of problems with stress cracking of the Boron steel skidplates that they built for the ZR2 Bison. Wonder if that's why they have had so much trouble getting these out.
We have a bunch of JLs in our club now and starting to get more Gladiators especially in the past few months. Especially when the lockdowns break we'll have a lot more JT's out on the trail. I'm almost definitely going to trade up to a Max Tow Sport and start building it up in 2021. Mostly my...
Jeep is still not getting the packaging right on these at all. Rear locker needs to be an option on all trims. High clearance fender flare needs to be an option on all trims. Overland does not offer widetrack axles with rear locker, nor decent AT tires--why, on a vehicle called Overland, is...
Wait, so the enhanced sliders are $1k extra? They sure implied those were part of the package, geez, for $1k you can also just get those on any other model. What do you get in place of those? Nothing? Or Rubicon sliders?
Sick of FCA nickel and diming everything.
100%. This is looking nearly ideal for an overland build. Great out of the box, or add a small spring lift / budget boost with shock adapters to keep the shocks, and 35's or 37's. Maybe a couple additional skids and some kind of bed cargo management and you're done...
Think it'll be below Rubicon. This is a direct comptetitor to the TRD Pro Tacoma. It subtracts the Rubicon hi-fenders, rear tub skids, 4:1 case, front locker (and I'm guessing also the auto swaybar disconnect). Biggest addition over Rubicon is the reservoir shocks
This has been needed in the Jeep lineup for some time. Hopefully this is a permanent trim model and comes to the Wrangler as well. 2.72 tcase, rear locker and the reservoir shocks. There have been special edition Wranglers in the past that offered rear locker only, but they usually only ended...
Jeep Jamboree's Instagram account posted the following:
I suppose it could just be the CRD, but the CRD has already been officially announced and these also have manufacturer plates. And then in the comments...
In person it is smaller than it looks in pictures and videos. Much more like a JL with a bed on the back even though the chassis is all new and more truck-like. I have a feeling a lot of people will buy these on the marketing and then end up trading them in to get a bigger truck.
The rear...
The plywood/drywall test is such an overused measure of the utility of a truck bed. Nearly everyone I know who mentions this during the purchase of their truck has never hauled a single sheet of plywood or drywall with it. Contractors aren't buying quarter-ton trucks like this to run their...
This is the one I want to wait for, but it has to be trail rated, have a decent payload capacity and be able to tow at least a couple thousand pounds. I don't expect the full payload or tow capacity that the gasser models have. But it still has to be a truck.
