  1. 2020 Rubicon - Can't replace windshield because of phantom codes

I’m assuming this is the windshield with the sensor in front of the rearview mirror to hit the brakes for you? That would be the only thing that could need calibration. I had a special order mine just to not get that option. No way I could live with that. I can hit my own brakes thank you.
  2. Thoughts coming from a full size pickup to a Gladiator?

I love the extra garage room the Gladiator allows. The diesel (sadly discontinued) pulls great.
  3. Tire jack rattling

Duh!!! Of course! I was only focusing on getting it tight against the mounting location. Thank you. Lance : )
  4. Tire jack rattling

Just used the tire jack for the first time. After carefully removing it, and making a mental note on how it was secured, I cannot, for the life of me, come up with a solution to prevent rattling. This should not be rocket science, but it’s as if the scissors portion rattles internally. At this...
  5. Anybody got a Wrangler?

In addition to a diesel Gladiator, I have a JLU Rubicon with the 2.0 and a soft top, six speed, two door Wrangler with the 3.6. The six speed is definitely the most fun while the Rubicon 2.0 is by far the most capable and powerful. Even more so than the diesel. If you go with anything less than...
  6. Factory speaker replacement

I’ve got 2 Rubicons, 2019 & 2021 with Alpines. The dash speakers rattled right off the showroom floor and the service department really couldn’t help. Anyway, does anyone know of a more robust replacement?
  7. Do you pick out your rocks

The KO3s don’t seem to hold them as much as the Duratracks. I do pick them out quite regularly where the fender meets the body though.
  8. Diesel Engine issue tracking thread... also please post if NO issues!

Getting a lot of miles on mine. Despite the issues, I really wish the diesel was still available. At some point I’m going to need another one. The puny Pentastar is fine in my JL six speed but I’d never try to pull anything with it. Jeep needs to pay attention to the market for customers who...
  9. New Product Ideas - We want to hear from you!

I feel like this one should be easy. My JL soft top retracts DOWN! When it gets cold or wet, you put the top UP. I can’t see why the Gladiator soft top can’t have a bracket like the JL so you can actually put the top down without having it stick way up in the air doing the man bun look. I would...
  10. 35 x 12.5 tires on factory Willy's wheels - Costco says NO...

Same. I really like Costco, but they won’t risk an inch on liability. I left and went to Discount and they treated me great for about the same money.
  11. Best deal on Gladiator hard top?

I’m sorry . No. Long gone
  12. Hurricane six?

I currently have a 2020 Ecodiesel and a 2021 Pentastar. Up I 80 over the Wasatch mountains the Pentastar hardly makes it while revving into the stratosphere, even without towing. My Ecodiesel works but is no longer offered. I won’t do another Pentastar even considering it’s great reliability.
  13. Hurricane six?

Down at the Jeep dealership a few days ago. I’ve bought three recently. An ETorque, Pentastar, and Ecodiesel. The Ecodiesel is the only one that’s practical for pulling anything. Great fuel economy too but the reliability has been unreal. Five trips attempted from Salt Lake to Missoula and only...
  14. So I found a rip on my seat šŸ˜”

I just took mine to an upholstery shop yesterday. The guy looked, laughed, said no problem. Four bolts and heated seat plug took maybe 90 seconds. He removed the lumber knob, pulled the cushion off and cut the stitch to the panel, traced a new one (black is easiest to match) sewed it back on and...
  15. So I found a rip on my seat šŸ˜”

I’ve looked pretty carefully. The handle does not rub on mine. The crack is simply due to the flexing of the material. They used some sort of Naugahyde that doesn’t want to flex.
  16. So I found a rip on my seat šŸ˜”

Do you know a phone number with a human? They are all on the same page. Brakes, tires, seats, etc. are considered ā€œnormal wearā€. The thing that bugs me is that the side of the seat doesn’t even make contact with anything. That splitting on the side within a year seems to be a rather common...
  17. So I found a rip on my seat šŸ˜”

I had exactly the same tear before the first year was up on the side of my seat. People mention warranty, but I took it to three different dealerships and they say that seats are not covered under the factory warranty. Does anybody know something different?
  18. Reducing things that can go wrong with electronics and emissions

I love the torque of my Ecodiesel but reliability has been a nightmare. Salt Lake to Missoula crossed dangerously remote country. I’ve tried the trip 5 times and only made it once without having a major breakdown and a month’s delay for parts. So far still under warranty. I’ve heard of a bypass...
  19. Soft top height when open

Way too high. I love the premium soft top as it seems quieter, handles all weather, and offers a lot more headroom than the hard top but the stupid man-bun sticks up higher than any public parking garage or normal home garage I’ve ever seen. It seems that a JL style bracket to allow the top to...
  20. Soft Top Questions

I know. I thought the exact same thing. My son got the JL soft top. I got the Premium on the JT. With wet Utah mud, the Premium comes clean in seconds at the car wash. My son’s standard stained permanently. We tried all sorts of different top cleaners. I’m giving up and putting on a Bestop...
