  1. Engine ticking - Exhaust Leak - Fixed

I did not use a gasket sealant. The service manual didn't specify to use one. I just replaced with a new gasket I got from Napa auto parts.
  2. Engine ticking - Exhaust Leak - Fixed

This ^ very likely only to happen with some kind of force IMO. Except the ticking didn't go away with rpms for me. Nor did it change with engine temp. I'd spend the few dollars and replace the gasket if you get it all apart. To each their own.
  3. Moving on

Well guys. I've been here since I ordered my launch edition, through my delivery in July of last year, and many mods later. I've decided to move on from the Gladiator. The dude took me on a very memorable ride to CO and on many very scenic and awesome trails. I got it dialed into my liking and...
  4. Engine ticking - Exhaust Leak - Fixed

Just wanted to drop a note here in case any of you all go looking for a solution to a similar/same problem. I drove to Colorado (about 16 hours one way) and did some wheeling for a couple of days (red cone, old tin cup pass, some other pass, etc). Mostly 2.5 and 3's but old tin cup pass had...
  5. What did you do WITH your Gladiator today?

2 inch mopar with 37" Milestar Patagonias on oem LE wheels with Synergy hub centric spacers. Aired down to 11psi all day. I turtled once on old Tin Cup pass and had to winch over it. Dented/scratched my muffler. It was a little bouncy all day but that's what you get with a compromise lift...

Yeah the speed is a tad annoying. This is just whatever Google photos does to animate two pictures. I have a collage / side by side if that's better.
  7. What did you do TO your Gladiator today? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS, NO GUN TALK]

Milestar Patagonia 37" on oem LE wheels with Synergy 1-5/8" hubcentric spacers. No lift. No rubbing so far but will likely go with lift soon.

  9. So, what is everybody towing?

You have any issues with how close your WDH is to the ground? I "flipped" the axles on my enclosed trailer because of that concern when hitting back roads to get to off-road riding areas. I was only going to have 5 inches or so of ground clearance with my WDH on which looks about what you...

  12. Loose Steering?

Update from me... So I previously said I adjusted the steering box and installed a TeraFlex Falcon 2.2 stabilizer with positive results. Technically I installed the stabilizer before I adjusted the steering box to see how much tighter that made the steering. The stabilizer helped but there was...

  15. Loose Steering?

If you do some searching on jl forums, there is a guy who is pulling one apart and taking a look. No conclusions that I've read. The posts are buried in a huge thread about loose steering.
