  1. So, what is everybody towing?

Makes good sense, thanks for the info :like:
  2. 12v relocation ideas

I relocated mine to the top of the dash using one of these 12v receptacles from Amazon:
  3. So, what is everybody towing?

Sorry to derail the thread, but I've always noticed that the trailers in Europe are deck-over design rather than what we commonly refer to as a car hauler, where the deck is down between the fenders. Any insight as to why that is?
  4. Spare tire mount relocated

This is very similar what I did when I flipped my receiver hitch and relocated my spare, but I used an old spare tire winch from an RV trailer I had on the shelf. I saved the OEM Gladiator unit for another project:
  5. 📸 Adventures Wanted 📸 Get outdoors and share your adventures!!

I've got Oracle lights and plenty of pictures on my adventures, but I don't do the grammy...
  6. Why did new springs get rid of my cold-weather (not full on death) wobble? Help me figure this out. :)

You effectively changed your caster angle with the lower spring height... I had an old TJ that would full tilt boogy death wobble with the hard top installed, but taking it off would raise the back up just enough to alter the front suspension geometry to keep things together. Of course there...
  7. Creaking Hard Top (mopar) solutions

Mine has started to develop a tapping noise at higher speeds, say above 50mph that drives me crazy, almost sounds like bugs hitting the windshield... I wonder if it's time to clean the seals, my roof panels have never been off 🤔
  8. Are rocker switches just not a thing anymore?

Another vote for the Trigger 6-Shooter here... My Gladiator is a poverty model without the factory aux switches and like the OP my preference is for a rocker-style switch rather than a push button. I have long been a fan of Ford's location and use of overhead switches for their aux setups, and...
  9. Mopar Trailer Brake Controller - Problem

That's awesome!! Any chance you snapped a picture of what you sanded down exactly? Based on your description, I am envisioning that you were somehow able to remove the button with a couple of small pic tools, and then sanded down the edges of the clear "male" cross on the backside of the...
  10. Mopar Trailer Brake Controller - Problem

The only suggestion I can offer is to double check that the center button isn't depressed and sticking. I just installed the unit myself last weekend and am having an issue where the button sticks and will leave the brakes engaged until I rap on the control knob to get the button to release...
  11. MOPAR Brake Controller Removal From Dash Bezel - HELP

Anyone know the trick to removing the MOPAR brake controller from the dash bezel? I installed it last night and the center button sticks when you depress it... I found this guy's video where he apparently found that the clocking was wrong: But I'll be darned if I can figure out how to get...
  12. Snow Wheeling Season Opener 08Nov2023

Couple pics from an impromptu solo trip yesterday...
  13. DIY Hidden Hitch

Relocated the spare up into my "bed rack"... I don't know what else to call it since it's just something that, again, I fabricated for my specific application 🤷‍♂️
  14. DIY Hidden Hitch

Realized that I never addressed the concern brought up here about safety chains... Simple as a couple of holes and quick links: I built a quickie hitch extender that incorporates a sliding wedge to keep things rattle free: And here it is in full plumage ready to hook up:
  15. Gator Green Rocklander Build

I've always admired the look of those hard-shell boxes that people slap all over their rigs, but I've never had a good personal use case for them... You sir, have just made me one. Well done!! :like:
  16. 38's are the Goldilocks of tires (owner review)

Agreed, I think this is the sweet spot for stock-ish axles in a Gladiator... I went with 39" KO2's because they run small and compare more directly with the 38's from most other tire manufacturers, but the KO2 is significantly lighter in weight and that helps with nearly all aspects of...
  17. Rockslide Engineering Malfunction

Does yours have the engine bay mounted kill switch in addition to the one in the cab? Mine have randomly cycled several times and I found the connections on the engine bay switch were bad; I could simply wiggle the switch in the little bracket RSE provided and the steps would cycle. Kind of a...

This one is on my short list... Thanks for sharing.
