Sorry to derail the thread, but I've always noticed that the trailers in Europe are deck-over design rather than what we commonly refer to as a car hauler, where the deck is down between the fenders. Any insight as to why that is?

The only suggestion I can offer is to double check that the center button isn't depressed and sticking. I just installed the unit myself last weekend and am having an issue where the button sticks and will leave the brakes engaged until I rap on the control knob to get the button to release...
