  1. Fenders

Does anyone know if the rear fenders are the same as the JL rear fenders? I am considering replacing mine with steel or aluminum fenders or maybe just the black plastic ones and JCRoffroad has some good looking ones but the front fenders cause a error in the instrument cluster that they say has...
  2. Steel Fenders and Aluminum Inner Fenders

I am looking at swapping out my stock fenders for steel or aluminum and these look great, but the link for the rear fenders leads to a page not found. Did the product get pulled, because I searched the website and under JT it only lists the front fenders.
  3. How are you using your Trail Rail System?

I removed the side ones and use the forward one for anchor points. I put a Yakima bed rack in that has been useful moving stuff around and eventual roof top tent.
  4. Aux switches

Thanks, I will take a look tomorrow.
  5. Aux switches

Went to wire my CB radio to one of my aux switches (running wires into the cabin is trickier than my old JK) and looked up in my manual where the wires are dead ended in the cabin. It shows it as taped to the wire bundle right next to the passenger footwell light. My wife and I searched...
  6. LE radio died

Started up my jeep this morning and back out of my driveway and the back up camera was blue and said camera unavailable. I checked the front camera and came deal but I was heading out to winch my boss off a rock he high centered on about 100 yards off a paved road so I left. Yea I laughed at him...
  7. Guardian Update?

It's the Sirius version of on star plus I think the att cellular network connection from what I can tell.
  8. Guardian Update?

So I was on travel for the past 2 week and my gladiator sat at the airport. I came back and started it up today and the radio loaded then shifted to please wait for several minutes. It then said guardian is now active and went back to its normal operation... except the rest of the JT didn't. I...
  9. Warn Winch VR10s install, anyone done one?

This winch I took directly off my jk and moved it over to my jt. I winch the line down to the tow hook with a small 500lb soft shackle that has a break point of around 1600lbs if I remember correctly and that is enough to cause the jt bumper to flex but not the jk.
  10. Citizens Band Radio?

I use a CB, and I have encountered the same jackasses that you have, but I would be surprised if you had 40 of those idiots within a 25 mile range of you and soaking up every channel available.
  11. Warn Winch VR10s install, anyone done one?

I have a warn zeon 12 platinum in my stock bumper (I think the only winch bigger than this is the warn powerplant series) and it is a very tight fit. Just so you can compare. I will say this bumper seems flimsier than my JK. When I would winch the line in to tighten down the line/hook for...
  12. What gas milage are you getting?

Further on the speed issues, the most fuel efficient speed is between 37 and 45 mph for the gladiator. Between that speed it will solo cruise at about 30-38 mpg. At 55, I typically get about 28-32 mpg, 65 is 24-28 mpg, 70 is typically 20-24, and 75+ is typically less than 20 mpg usually in the...
  13. What gas milage are you getting?

What's your tire pressure? What is your typical speed? Do you turn off the @SS system (seriously, these systems in real world applications are a bag of @SS and even the button and dash label it as @)? Do you have a lot of hill changes? When you come to a stop do you idle up to the stop or are...
  14. Body Painted Fender Flares

Personally, I would avoid the body colored fender flares and stick with the flat black plastic. My JK had flat black plastic and looked about as good as the day I got it when I traded it in. My gladiator on the other hand, took a rock/gravel impact and peeled the paint right off sometime before...
  15. What gas milage are you getting?

Mine seems to be the opposite, I find it hunting between 6th, 7th, and 8th quite often at speeds between 45 and 75 with varying amounts of head/tail wind and road gradient.
  16. What gas milage are you getting?

The other piece of that is tire pressure. Granted it has a diminishing effect, I recall doing the calculations in physics back in college that roughly a 1 psi change typically results in a 1.5% fuel efficiency difference. So while the door tag says 37 psi cold, my deal inflated them to 40 psi...
  17. What gas milage are you getting?

It can be extrapolated from their experiment for driving a truck with the gate up vs down vs off (netted gates). They found having the gate up was significantly more fuel efficient because aerodynamics with the gate up caused the air in the bed to act as like a cushion vice with the gate down...
  18. What gas milage are you getting?

My worst was 18.5 and my best was low 24s. On average, I have been sitting 21-22 pretty consistently. And I have 3500 miles on my JT already. I have noticed that having the tonneau cover installed and rolled out significantly improves mpg (which was proven by my busters a while back). The only...
  19. LE Delivered Today

I sold it to pay for the JT. When I bought the JK I was split between what I wanted but the things I was looking for was 4x4, convertible, manual, diesel, some sort of bed, and ability to tow at least 2k. So I had to settle. Now I gave up the manual for the bed but that's fine. I am not part of...
  20. LE Delivered Today

My next step is adding putting my old JK stuff on the truck. Winch, cb, light bar? (Maybe), both air compressors, and maybe my bigger 1500 watt pure sine wave inverter. One of the things that annoys me severely is that there is no 12vdc Jack in the back that isnt key bound to the battery. The JK...
