Did you have the trail rails on your gladiator? I have a tyger cover and not really happy with it (it keeps popping open and I constantly have to reset the rails).
I took mine to the dealership with the leak, and they pulled the window and resealed it. Said there was an issue with "bubbles" sometimes at the factory when installing it.
Took only a day, and through two rain storms so far, no leaking (or water slushing sounds when going over bumps).
I just noticed mine leaking yesterday.
One more thing to add to the dealer list. I already had a wobble and went through a long process to get it fixed.
But I still love my JT!
The saga continues for me. Today was the 2nd day in a row that it happened again. Looks like I will be sending her back into the shop for another look. This is the third time going in.
No rant at all. I would rather be informed by everyone's experiences and recommendations than go in blindly. I will certainly be keen to anything out of the norm going forward.
If you have an expert recommendation in our local area I would appreciate it (of course you can PM the info)...
Thanks everyone for their input and advice. The impact of the wobble is definitely worse than the video shows. It isn't as bad as you say above, so maybe it wasn't a DEATH wobble, but nonetheless it was a wobble. I had to slow way down for it to stop, and it was difficult to change lanes...
Fair point on the violent movement from 9 to 3 of the steering wheel, so maybe not a "death wobble" but an "oh Shit, wobble" instead. It is certainly more than a shimmy, and more than a shake (having a flashback to Airplane ) Either way, it should not be happening at all. No other car I have...
So I came back from the Dealership with a couple of new tie rods. They said they torqued all the bolts down and a new front end alignment.
I admit that the JT felt better when driving home. That was on Friday. It sat in the the driveway until today when I drove in to work, and sure enough it...
Thanks Alex. I definitely will let you know what happens. I did ask about a loaner since I am assuming that I will have to leave the JT. They did check the VIN against any recalls and since I am not id'ed as on the list, I don't qualify for a loaner.
For the Forum, thank you all for the...
All great advice, I will let you know what the dealership says. I took a video when driving home, but it was too dark to see much and I was really focusing on not crashing. I will take it out this weekend to get a video.
My fear is the mechanic "won't be able to verify" the issue.
I have an Overland, bought in April and have 17k miles on it. Not one issue until I was driving to work the other day on I-95 and went over a bridge section and got the death wobble. I have driven over that road section a thousands times before, I was only going 70 and the wobble was so bad, I...
So, when I have been following the Miles Until Empty, it seems that the calculation is a bit off. I know you should not use that as a gauge, but I am finding that when I run the tank down to 20-25 mile to go till empty, the JT is only taking 18-19 gallons of gas. I would expect something more...
