I went through the vent flap but I put a loop of cable down so any water wouldn't run along the cable and into the cab.

I haven't had my USB stop but I have had issues with Android Auto. One trick is to unplug the USB fuse and wait a minute or so to let it reset. I am fuzzy on it but I think it is fuse 11 under the hood. If that doesn't work it may be a hardware issue and you may have to change the USB ports out.

I can't speak for everyone but I don't mind. When I heard that they were stopping Gobi the first time I just thought that if someone crashed into me and totaled my Jeep, I couldn't replace it. It still will be a pretty small section of sales as it isn't for everyone.

Oh, look at the 2007 JKs that are running around with several hundred thousand miles and the absurd prices people ask for those things. Not quite 15 years but there are plenty of them still out there. I believe my JT is built as good or better than any of those.
