We have had this tune for well over a year now. Benefits, better mileage, pulls like a freight train.
Downfalls: increased crankcase pressure sensor warning, they need to have multiple transmission options with better throttle response to really wake it up. IE one really need some type if...
The new tune I am going with is supposedly fixing this issue with throttle response. No device needed. The only issue I have is I prefer a performance tune and one for economy. With the current GDE tune, my Alucab Canopy Camper, 37” and 3.5 lift when on eco on hwys in the southern Appalachians I...
Update:
i found the error was most likely caused by a throttle commander in its highest setting. Vehicle has a emissions compliment tune. I went through and reprogrammed the transmission with my programmer. Which btw was in stock tune. Not the performance transmission tune. After the tune was...
Would you please share what Jeep dod to fix the issue for you? Thanks. I have the same issues. Did your abs lights and tractions control light up as well?
The dreaded lightning bolt came up about 15 miles from home today as I was pulling out if the pharmacy. Ive had the ABs light on for a bit but no error codes and have been working on narrowing it down. But now think it may be related. I did use a security bypass and my tune programmer to reset...
Thanks for the informed response. Yes the one downfall for sure of the teraflex system is needing longer travel shocks. So if one already has a setup it can be a expense. I am very interested in a comparison especially with so much time behind this setup to see what the differences are as our...
Since I brought up another option. What does this at double the price give you over the terraflex ST Forged Swaybar for the JT?
From what I can tell from using the Terraflex kit which does the same thing. But also adds travel to 16”. Im curious why one would choose the Currie over the Terraflex...
How do i mKe this a small thread. Lol. 3 Months over 20k miles. Majority off blacktop. From North GA to Ouray Colorado headed north to Canada following the Continental Divide Trail all offroad. North ti TukToyaTuk NWT Canada, then south the Anchorage and North again to Prudhoe Bay. South down...
Our newest additions.
Can crusher. And Inside aluminum table mount. Fridge for reference is the Dometic cfx3 95dz. And lastly full of the uptop overland rack
We will be at the Southeast Overland Event at Bush Mountain State Penn in TN on 31 March - 2 April and also showing at The Moore Expo in...
Wanted to add a note here. On our UpTop Overland Half Rack we have been helping to design the rack and accessories for it. We had them make a bracket for the Jeep XM/GPS Antenna. Made a world of difference. See picture.
Some of the parts are reused frkm thr factory. As far as unused bolts I rrally dont recall myself. I have my tailgate stored with other misc parts from yhe factory install. Id say regardless, most arent going to be taking of the canopy camper. Just easier to start new. Yet, if you do tany small...
If i could really look back I would have also removed the bed and installed bungs between the bed and the cab. Pre ran wires from battery to bed inside frame rails etc. as far as cam @813 Fabrication & Design does make a adapter that takes the factory backup camera and mounts in rail above...
I would now be working on routing your propane lines if you are going from drivers to passenger. Also consider quick release sans a regulator for stoves. As they usually have something built it. Youll thank me at high altitudes. We run a dickenson p9000 on yhe passenger side back wall with gp...
We originally ran the clayton triple rate springs. But for our use they where not HD enough. We do have our set for sale for $300 dm if interested. We ended up going with the Dobson Extra HD springs and the Icon Rear Spring 1.5 spacers. We now can load up without use of airbags. But unloaded we...
We use the Terraflex ST forged swaybar kit on ours. No issues with the end links being so low. Brings them well above the axle. Only install issue we had was with the rokblox mudflaps needing to weld on brackets. Benefits are links cant get damaged and allows up yo 16” of rear wheel travel...
Look up removing door bolts for some pointers. Some have used a breaker bar. We have used an cordless impact drill. Issue is the paint and some will have to be heated to break bond. Anyhow look up the above and you will find an answer that will work for you.
