Exactly why I just replaced both. Iām a few months shy of 4 years so the main wasnāt going to last much longer anyway.
Replacing in driveway is a lot easier than on my next road trip.
I did not install shock extensions. I believe teraflex stated anything under 2 inches did not require extension, but I donāt recall exactly where I read that. I did put the included bump stops and also replaced lower control arms, although that isnāt really necessary.
Hauled my takeoffs over to tire shop to have them dismounted. Been having trouble selling them so will try to sell tires separately. Stopped for a beer on the way home.
I only did the 1.5 up front, and it is spot on level. I donāt notice any extra body roll, but I did go to E-rated tires when I jumped to 35ās, which I think helped lessen soft on road manners.
look up the thread about replacing lower control arms as well. I did that with the 1.5 level and it...
Finally got around to upgrading wheels and tires. 315/70R17 Falken Wildpeaks, 17x9 wheels with -6mm offset and 4.5 backspace, and Teraflex 1.5 inch level. Really liking the stance and proportions. Not sure I will do a larger lift for a while.
Dropped price.
Rubicon takeoffs with 35k miles; tires have 55k mile warranty. 4 wheels that are powder coated and polished aluminum and 1 steel spare. Falken Wildpeak AT3wās. The spare is unused and still has original tread depth of 18/32ndās; all others are about 12/32ndās.
They are in great...
I installed these lower arms over the weekend with the level kit. Really glad I did. Vehicle feels very good. Not sure if itās in my head but feels like it tracks a little better on highway. 35ās going on this weekend.
Those are the ones I ordered. BAM didnāt have great description, but other websites confirmed those were for the 2inch Mopar lift.
I havenāt received or installed yet, but pretty confident.
My 2020 JTR also just got a new 8 speed automatic transmission at 33k miles. Truck is stock.
No real hassle from the dealer other than they didnāt have any loaners available and the process took about 4 weeks due to back order. Jeep Cares was better at giving me updates than my service focal...
First time towing with JTR. Towed about 300 miles after purchase. Longer than I wanted to go, but the Jeep handled great. Really glad I had already done the steering TSB, no issues at all.
Agree with on this. It definitely tracks better, but the old one seemed to have a very consistent resistance when cycling through a full turn from zero to lock, whereas this one seems to be more inconsistent. Itās tighter at first and then gets easier. Perhaps Iāve just been compensating too...
Just got mine done in charleston area. Took about 1.5 months for parts to come in. The actual labor took much longer than expected (about 7 hr wait time), because they didnāt check on the bolts being in stock before scheduling my appointment. Luckily they were able to get some from a nearby...
Yes it was leaking just above the sliding window. Must have been a problem with the seal when they installed it at the factory.
It was not a big pain, just took about a day at the dealer. It was their first replacement on a Gladiator and they were a little nervous about it, but they didnāt...
