I did their 3.5 inch lift (coil springs and N3 shocks) and run 37” ProComp Mud Terrains. No complains. Maybe a little stiffer than stock but it’s still a good ride. It’s a Sport with Max Tow. Off road a lot. East coast, Pennsylvania so it’s rocky, slow crawling. I’m happy with my set up...
Yes, air bags would be perfect for you then. Too often people use them to balance an overload truck/camper combination and then complain when the set up doesn't work. But to balance a reasonable load they work great to restore a level, safe ride.
I've used them in the past on various other vehicles with good results. Haven't needed them with the Gladiator yet. Probably will once I level or lift the Gladiator but right now at stock setting she handles my 4500 poundish mini toy hauler with ease.
I've pulled this several times now without incident. Doesn't pull the hills as well as my Ram 1500 (Hemi) did but otherwise it handles about the same. Sport with max tow, 35s, no lift. Camper is probably pushing 4500-5000 pounds fully loaded to include motorcycle with side car or the golf cart.
I decided to return to stock. MY problem is a tall upper body, short legs. LOL. The the slight raising of the seat put my knees at a weird bend. I'll live with the stock seat for now. I do promotional work for Ford Motor Co part-time, Had the chance to spend time in a Ecosport and Escape...
He’s mine. Forest River. RT180. Usually hauling our Ural or the golf cart. Pulls without issue. Fully loaded with toy, camper goes just under 5000lbs
Apparently you can. Bestop stated you can in a post I read on the JL forum. There are six bolts that hold the SunRider frame to the roll cage. The rearmost two attach to the hardtop. Supposedly you can run the SunRider with just the other four bolts attached and no hardtop.
I like the idea...
We all know you can use the Freedom panels without the back portion of the hardtop installed... Does anyone know if it’s possible with the SunRider top??
I ended up grabbing a used pair of brackets off Facebook Marketplace. Misch brand, not Extendmyseat brand. Basically the same thing. Install was easy. Yes, seat still adjusts the full factory distance forward and backwards, just the seat is mounted about 6" more to the rear. And yes, it...
Additionally... they said the bracket limits the forward travel of the seat. The new most forward position equals that of the old most rearward position. So that's a concern if you have a short wife, husband, girlfriend, boyfriend or all the above! LOL.
