Has anyone actually installed a set of these brackets in a JT? I’ve search the forum and emailed the company to verify they fit but no response. I don’t have a JL handy to compare floors.

Give them a call (620) 325-9325. On their products drop down they show a JL kit, but the page doesn’t load.

I’ve emailed them, no response. I also emailed extendmysest.com. They responded, asking me to send pics of my seat. They believe their JL bracket will work on the JTs but wanted to look at the seat before confirming.

I’ll post their response.

ExtendMySeat.com just got back to me. They are 99.9% sure their JLU brackets will fit. Said they would refund your money if they don't.

Please please let this work...does it just go back further? Or down to? Send us a part number or link or something when you get it! Excited!

According to them...just backwards, not lower. Actually raises the seat the height of the thickness of the steel bracket.

Additionally... they said the bracket limits the forward travel of the seat. The new most forward position equals that of the old most rearward position. So that's a concern if you have a short wife, husband, girlfriend, boyfriend or all the above! LOL.

I ended up grabbing a used pair of brackets off Facebook Marketplace. Misch brand, not Extendmyseat brand. Basically the same thing. Install was easy. Yes, seat still adjusts the full factory distance forward and backwards, just the seat is mounted about 6" more to the rear. And yes, it does raise you the thickness of the bracket 3/8 of an inch or so and maybe a little higher depending how it seats on your carpet. The extra room is great. The extra height is irritating. LOL. I'm going to give it a week or so both deciding if they stay or go.

Ahhh dammit ....if your tall like me ull realize forward and back isn't the real issue....its the limit how low the seats good...the only solution I've seen is to take some cushion out still

I am glad I am not alone in this issue. This is my first Jeep / JT and I’m seeing (feeling) some limitations based on my height.

@nc3310 - any decisions yet? The extra height I don’t need. The cushion depleting idea is good but I don’t want to f up the OEM stuff.

Looking for a solution here as well. Might talk to a fabricator buddy and see if he’s willing to make a set of custom brackets. I’m 6’6 and need a little help.

I'm 6ft and feel huge in this thing. May try this. I can't imagine how tall guys can drive these. Blows my mind seat doesn't go back more.

It really is crazy they don't come with more adjustability on a truck this expensive. What I think we should find out and look into is after market seat options....anybody know of any good ones?
