  1. Dead Aux Battery stops brake controller

The aux battery was failing. The typical error light on the dash for the Start/Stop not functioning was lit. The interesting thing I found was tat the brake controller no longer worked either. The brake controller displayed an error indicating low voltage. After swapping the Aux battery, an...
  2. Touchscreen Unrespondsive

My touchscreen for the radio is not responsive. The display works and radio works. But I cannot trigger any of the soft buttons on the screen. I am going on a long road trip this weekend and I am trying to get it working again. This happen last year and the dealer had some suggestion but then...
  3. Bestop Supertop for Truck 2

I installed the Bestop Supertop on my 2020 Jeep Gladiator. The directions are OK. They leave you to figure out a lot. They are basic "stick figure" drawings. It would be nice to see color photos. The top does not fit well. There are gaps in the front that will suck in wind, rain, road debris...
  4. Is there a front receiver hitch with Rubicon steal bumper and skid plate?

All the front hitches I have seen requires removing the skid plate permanently. Does any one know of one that works with the skip plate in place?
  5. Bought an RV, JT tows it fine

We bought an RV (Jayco Jay Flight SLX8 224BH) with a dry weight of 4300 lbs. Fully loaded it approaches 5500 lbs. I added a Reese weight distribution hitch and sway bar to the rig. The Jeep is a Gladiator Rubicon with a manual. I haven't towed it far yet. Only about 20 miles in a mix of back...
  6. Towed Camper, 3700 lbs

Over the weekend we rented an RV. A Prime Time PTX 170BHS with a dry weight of 3169 lbs. Add in gear, food, water, kids toys, chairs, grill, etc… probably 3700 lbs or so. My JTR has a manual. It pulled just fine. No issues. The Redarc Tow Pro elite electric brake controller worked well.
  7. Maryland Looking for an off road utility trailer

Does anyone know of a basic low walled utility trailer for off road use? Looking to carry water, 1 to 1.5 tons, from source to remote location. And when needed remove the tank and use the trailer for all sorts of stuff. Thanks in advanced.
  8. Added brake controller

It is 2020 and the world is dealing with a Pandemic. So, we are going RVing. We are renting one to test it out and see what we think as a family. In order to tow a travel trailer I needed a brake controller. Since Mopar can’t seem to get one out there for us I bought and installed a third party...
  9. Software update killed cameras, off road pages plus unknown

Great! The Jeep performed an over the air update and now the front and rear cameras do not work. The option doesn't even show. The off road pages are gone and Who knows what else got messed up.
  10. Added a winch and Rusty’s mounting plate

I added a winch to my Pumkin’ JT. This was an involved yet simple DYI job. The parts list: 1. Rusty’s Winch Mount - 2018+ JL Wrangler / 2020+ JT Gladiator RR-WM55-JLJT https://www.rustysoffroad.com/rustys-winch-mount-2018-jl-wrangler-jt-gladiator.html 2. X-BULL 12V Waterproof...
  11. LED Headlights are dangerous in snow/ice storm

I have a 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon with the LED headlights. Last night I drove home in a snow and ice storm. The headlights got packed with snow/ice since LEDs do not produce enough heat to melt the snow and ice like the old halogen and HID bulbs can. The snow and ice buildup is horrible...
  12. Towed a 3200 lbs trailer up a muddy hill

My wife and I own a cabin in a remote location. We have a cistern that we haul water up to the cabin and fill. I use a 275 gal tank to transport the water. I used to have a Ram 3500 diesel with proper manual transmission. I would put the tank in the back and hauled it up with no problem. That...
  13. Why a Gladiator (JT) and not a Wrangler (JL)?

    One answer in picture form.
  14. How do put the soft top up or down?

I just got my Punk'in JT Friday. I like it. The softtop is easy enough to use. But where do you stand? How do you reach it reach through its motion? So far, I found I need to stand on the seat. But will this prematurely wear the surface or break the seat? [update] Hmm, I think this might...
