Set of four Falken Wildpeak M/T (mud terrain) tires with 51K miles on them. Size is LT285/70R17, which is approx. 33 inches diameter (when new). Fits 17-inch rim. Original owner. These came with my Jeep Gladiator. They passed inspection at 51K miles and they have some life left on them, but they...
Hi Andrew - I bought these mirrors several years ago and they are fantastic - simple, quick and easy to use and very effective. One of the plastic pieces occasionally slips out of a metal bracket (not while they're in use) - which generally isn't a problem, until recently when I could never find...
I gotta say there's probably more to comfort than the load range rating. Tire pressure might make a big difference. For a daily driver light duty rig a C range might be a good starting point. Depending on the load, as they say, your mileage may vary.
Thanks Mike - I was going to have the shop just dispose of the tires but at the last minute realized there's some life left in them, and prefer to sell them cheap to whoever can get more out of them. II rotated them every couple oil changes so that helped with the wear. They started getting...
20 Gladiator Rubicon with factory Falken Wildpeak MT tires, these lasted 51K miles so far and still have some tread (will post them for sale soon). Very pleased with the Falken, and that's after frequent towing and hauling.
Today I had the local garage install new BFG AT KO2, as I don't really...
Thanks and apologies for not reading the thread before posting - I see now there have been several mentions of the top/center location. I'll try the silicon fix when the wind and rain stop.
44K miles, my rear window (with slider) is now leaking. I stuffed in a towel to catch the water and occasionally wring it out. Works okay as a temporary fix but humidity in the cab is still more than normal.
I hold no grudges against Jeep for this issue. Vehicles have issues just like software...
When I have auto stop/start disabled and comes to a stop, a second or two later at the time when SS would normally kill the engine, it runs a little rough then recovers. It's as if it the motor is about to turn off but then realizes it shouldn't. Doesn't last long and isn't enough to bug me.
Looking for a set of 4 take-off tires (don't need the rims but will consider), size 285/70R17, preferably in southern Maine, southern New Hampshire or eastern Mass. Not too picky about which type; will consider A/T, M/T or street tread, but must be 33 inch diameter and 17 inch rim size.
My original Falken M/T tires will be end of life in a few thousand miles so I'm looking for replacements. I'd like to find a set of 4 take-offs size 285/70R17, preferably in southern Maine, southern New Hampshire or eastern Mass. Not too picky about which type; will consider A/T, M/T or street...
One of the best looking jeeps out there. Great photo doesn't hurt. Clean CB antenna install (deleted stock AM/FM or went with a stubby?) My Jeep is jealous of your Jeep's manual roll-up windows but I wanted the Rubi so I don't think it was an option. Your whole build and look is subtle yet still...
I've driven for 6 months since the fix, I would guess around 8-10K miles, and no problems of any kind since then. I'm at 35K miles now.
Very pleased with Foss Motors sales and service depts, which is why I've stuck with them for 18 years or so now.
Great looking setup! I'd put the weight distributing hitch in the "crucial" category too. For tow weights under 3,000 probably would put it ahead of the brakes, but that choice depends on other factors too.
Disagreeing's fine. I've run two brands of MTs on road, in the snow, in Maine winters, for 10 years now, and the MTs have been great, not just good. I've tugged cars out of roadways and driveways in snow, out of a ditch in snow, and then some. Don't get me wrong - I'm good at getting stuck, too...
