Went for a short drive down the street and back.
CEL still illuminated, getting a U1267 code.
Also, prior to this adventure, my ESS lite was illuminated due to the AUX needing to be replaced. Since pulling the neg cable and fuse I'll guess that is what got rid of that idiot light.
Cheers, j-
ok...let's update.
Got the fuse array. I ordered the 60A, mine is the 100A. This is typical. I've got the heart and I'll put in the effort yet still mess something up. But I digress. I went ahead and installed the 60A, I'll see how this goes, my primary goal is to get this thing into gear.
I...
Yeah, what you're posting here is a common fault that I knew, for the most part, was not my prob. (hoping and praying a bit that it wasn't. still not sure yet.) The Jeep drove just fine until it would not start on Christmas day, of course. I changed the battery on the 26th, it started up, I...
Ok...what i have found out.
This pic is from this vid...
From the right, the third fuse is 60A. There is another block out there that has that protection at 100A.
Since this dude pulled this off his jeep in the vid i ordered the 60A, this is what was confusing me when looking at the parts...
Man, the 'tech' in vehicles is just ridiculous these days.
I watched a couple vids on this thing. In the vids, when stopping them to copy the part number, 150A is stamped on the metal bracket that i believe is OEM. This is what i find on the O'Reilly site, one is 60A the other is 100A.
Is this...
Maximus...thank you!
This darn thing is in the front of the house, the garage is in the back. Getting it back there will be a huge help!
Mr Bill...I did the research on the high current fuse array and will be calling around for one of those things tomorrow. Thanks much for this intel.
Now...
2020 Gladiator, gas eng.
Replaced the main batt. Aux needs to be replaced but i'm selling it and would really prefer not to.
After the replacement I get the 'Service Shifter' message. I've made sure the fuse box is seated. I've read about the shifting harness possibly rubbing on, something...
I had some issues a few years ago so i may miss a few points here, but be sure you ask questions before you re-gear just so ya know. This is kinda long, but it happened over the course of a few months before I found out the reason. If you make it through I hope it helps.
2020 Rubicon. 3.5"...
Trust me, i love buying local. I bought a CMM ball for the grab bar and have no complaints. At least none that is their fault. I over torqued it one day and have now stripped the threads on the handle. My fault, not theirs.
I thought that ball was a bit much, but i appreciate the skill...
AH! This is a thread i need!
Where the Ram Ball is screwed in, what is that location refernced as in the Mopar Parts book? When i put in the CMM ball i stripped the threads on the mounting side, not the ball side.
I'm looking for a blown up pic of how to change out whatever is threaded in...
As much as I'd love to get this from CMM , $102 is a bit steep for a ball mount in my world.
So i found this on the Ram Mount site.
Does anyone know the depth required for a stud to work on the bottom of the A pillar to use it as a mount point?
Thanks for any intel.

I love it.
Got a Rubicon, dont *mind* the red, but you have shown me that I dont need to keep it. I've got a Gator Green JT. I see a new project in my future.
Nice job, thanks for posting.
Did you do much, if any, prep before painting?
I did the JCR with a sunrider. I prob can't get ya pics until tomorrow, but I may have posted some on here quite a while ago, I'll look.
It's possible with some modding. If you drive a Jeep, you can do the mod.
Edit:
Found this thread. Has the pics I referenced. It's been a while since I did...
Good point about the east coast/salty air. I live in the desert, rusting here is generally not a problem, but i like to travel to CO as much as I can.
I checked the RLD site, and, well, something is going on for sure. Thank you for the heads up on that one! I had been looking at pics and...
I thought some folks were posting pics on one of the topper threads that their hardware has started to rust.
It was either the RSI or RLD...I thought. A couple of those threads are so long I cannot find the pics. I'm mostly wanting to know which brand it was.
However, seeing some of the...
Running backlighting, IMO, you'd be fine. BUT BUT BUT...i dont know the laws in your state. I could run a DRL on the LP6's i have and i wouldn't think twice and i dont know the law regarding forward lighting in my state. In my top pic, if you look below the BD logo on the cover you can see some...
I'm not quite sure what your intent is. To mount anything that is street legal, output wise, on a hoop would be for looks only and not do anything for function, possible. However, as someone else mentioned, laws regarding how many lights you can have on at any given time can vary. What you also...
