Reading this again I "think" I finally figured out why the keyfob is so big... They supersized it just so it could fit the full width of the cupholder! How brilliant!
With that, aren't I glad that they didn't design the fob to work in both orientations in the shape of a square? :whew:
I remember using a similar robust unit for the trailer on the side of the road :muscle::muscle:. Cuz my cheapo compressor didn't have a long enough cigarette lighter cord without unhitching...
Thanks for the thread and info! Also from north of the border and was thinking (more like dreaming) about getting a 4xe Wrangler in the future.
Guess that'd have to wait until (if) they sort things out eh?
I had similar experience with CAA on this side of the border. Basic coverage for the first 24hr of activation (up to 10km tow) before Plus coverage kicks in (200km).
You might be able to request a flatbed as well (the wait time could be longer). That way no worries about towing with the JT or...
I wonder if it has to do with the wheelbase of the Gladiator in relation to spacing between the "rollers" in that particular carwash.
Maybe give another location a try and see if the same thing happens?
We just picked up our upgraded trailer a few weeks ago. Having the Overland was definitely limiting when shopping for a new RV. As many have said, with a midsize pickup it'll likely run out of payload before hitting the towing capacity. Heavy trailer tongue weight and weight distribution / sway...
That sounds likely too. If that's the case it probably won't happen again.
I didn't use baby powder as I'm still debating if I'd apply a new coating (and what to use).
Definitely a great deal though! Thanks for passing that along! :like:
Purely from how I felt, I would guess if the tent gets repacked tight and stored for long, the coating might stick again and similar "micro-tear" will happen on the next use.
Someone mentioned baby powder and applying new coating, which could likely avoid the issue from reoccurring.
That's great. The compact short bed model should be the best fit for most JT setups. : )
It's forecasting for rain the next little while so I figured today is as good (or bad) as any.
With the hard rolling cover (more than 6" high) I should have "place the truck tent up against the tonneau...
Didn't hear anything but I figured at that price I'll just order one to try. It should be arriving today, can't wait.
I'll share some pics once I get a chance to set it up. Lots of rain these days so it might take a while.
I have the Rugged Ridge hard rolling cover and wonder if the longer...
With the "compact short bed" out of stock, any idea how a full size short bed (5.5-5.8, 19133) might work? Wondering if anyone might have past experience with other brands/models. Thanks!
I guess that answered it for me. I had a hard time deciding between the Rockhard bumper or just getting the Curt front receiver (keeping and cutting up the plastic bumper).
Planning to move trailers around and getting a hitch cradle for a winch so I have more flexibility in use.
Curt it is...
I got the JT late last fall and got snow tires mounted right before the first snowfall. As I got off from a stop sign on a slight slope the truck was fishtailing like no tomorrow on 2H. I had to switch to 4H to get traction.
The very next day I got 4x 60lb sand bags above the axle. Didn't have...
Everytime when I hear comments like that (doesn't always sound hostile) I roll my eyes. I bite my tongue to not respond with "a base model minivan costs half of your truck and takes more passenger than yours. Why don't you get that instead?"
