I went this route due to being old and liking to drink.. :) If Wifezilla is not camping with me I can sleep at an angle and close the tailgate and shell window...if she is with me I put a tailgate tent on and even the German Shedder fits between us lol

Yes...You all should be picking up a set of them or something like them BEFORE you have issues. Much cheaper to prevent then to repair this stupid design

so my topper is basically fully loaded minus the overpriced electrical stuff... yakima rack, two side windoors,, front sliding fold down window(must have for cleaning) The OTR option which is a rhino lined type of coating that is BULLET proof. Very happy with this set up

in regards to clamps...I use 3 on each side and no issues coming loose after 3 years of pretty rough wheeling....your mileage may vary

I love my ARE CX Classic..I think it follows the lines of the Gladiator overall real well.

sooooo. I went this route. If Wifezilla is not with me I can sleep diagonally with the tailgate and rear gate closed and if she comes I do use a tailgate tent...love this..I went this way because I like to drink and roof top tents+alcohol +gravity =ouch

thanks...it works real well.. I am old and like to drink so a roof top tent aint fun when your hammered and nature calls lol..it think the roof can hold 200 +-??? they make one with extra reinforcement that I think can hold at least double that if not more.

yep I left my remaining 3 wave oil changes and the dealer next 10 changes for free on the table after the first one...same thing young kid jumps in jeep immediately turns on the radio and throws the seat back for the teen lean...they left it a mess on top where the "dude" spilled the SIX quarts...

I have the OTR...it is more textured then the Jeep Roof but that's ok as it is real tuff..I am happy with it..here is a couple shots of it...weight wise probably 20 lbs+- more than a painted cap
